Those first two Janes Addiction albums were definitely game changers. I played them both to death. Haven't listened to them in many years. Cool that you found Nothing Shocking! That was a pretty cool store to see. Of course Dave spending your money is nothing new and something I'm well versed in. lol

Hahaha Dave already sent me a message for a place I need to go to in Detroit. He knows all these owners due to all his on line buying. I did pick up an album since I sent Dave pictures and he said pick this jazz album up. I of course cost him money with these video so it is my payback lol.

Always nice to find a new record store! “Nothing Shocking “ is one I need to find on vinyl too. Great album. I only have one Ohio Players at the moment but eventually I’ll add to that. I always loved seeing those covers when I was growing up. Still do. 😊

Hey Steve! Man I remember the exact moment I first heard Janes Addiction It was around the same time it came out and at that period of my life I was listening to strictly metal mostly hair metal. And when I heard Mountain Song I was staggered and then Jane Says and then Ocean Size! I didn’t know what to make of it It was so original! I knew it would change my musical taste in a big way and sure enough alternative music took over and the hair metal went out with the bath water Great album! I love Tears for Fears and that album is essential They can make you smile and then make ya cry in the in the same listen! Brings back some good memories! Great shares Steve! Peace ☮️✌️👽🤘☮️

Hi Steve, Thanks for another wonderful edition. Great to see World Party, and agree on your views on Goodbye Jumbo. Saw them in concert at Newcastle once, did a wonderfully ramshackle version of Pop Life as an impromptu encore. Addition of Robbie Williams co-writer Guy Chambers to his band really seemed to up Karl's game. Always wondered where the Waterboys would have gone had Karl stayed after the magnificent This is the Sea, but then we may not have eventually got Jumbo! Take care, Cliff

Paul I agree with Tears for Fears album, Sowing the Seeds was their Sgt Pepper album, well produced and sonically pleasing. As much as I love punk I have never seen any of the bands in concert. Part of it is where I have lived, more rural and it would be an over 2 hour trip to take in a concert. The other part, too cheap lol. Okay I spend a lot of money on music but that is physical. Again! Awesome albums that you are showing! Ok, sad about that “Nothings Shocking” album, leaving out the newer version of “Pigs in Zen”. They need to give it the treatment that “Ritual de lo Habitual” October release got, two LPs on clear vinyl. Like you said, Zeppelin!!! You had four guys that were masters of their craft, like the mighty Zep! If we got two LPs, then we can get Pigs in Zen back, plus with a better sound. Back in the day, if you went to see them live, it was a religious experience. Not that circus thing at the Michigan Fairgrounds with Flea playing Bass, but the original cats, playing like it was their last night on earth! Wow what a band! Ended so early. I wanted at least ten years like Zeppelin gave us.

Whew, some good stuff in the reggae section there Steve...Two Sevens Clash and Dennis Brown's Wolf & Leopard on the wall as you walked by, two classics right there and then in the bins Best Of Studio One, Ranking Ann (I definitely would have bought that, hard to come by) and looks like Scientist - Dub In The Roots Tradition on Blood & Fire at 1:31. Originals of Funky Kingston go for $40 now, I must be out of touch, probably paid $10 or so when I started collecting. Got the Gotan album on CD I think, discovered them through the thrift bins, interesting fusion of genres. Was sort of on the fence about Tears For Fears at the time as well, I did like Everybody Wants To Rule The World and somehow I still do even with how overplayed it was. I ought Sowing athe Seeds when it came out. It was the only Tears album I bought until a couple decades later. I did have Songs For the Big a hair on CD. I may have to reach out to the record store about those other reggae albums. I did get that box set I told you about. You got me to spend more money Doug

Crates are fine, especially since they didn't back them tight in there. Looks like an ok store. Can't go wrong with Ohio Players.

I saw a Dennis Brown record on that wall. Yummy.... Talkin' about want lists I never mention a record I want on youtube, never. Not any more Steve, I learned my lesson a long time ago. If I do mention a record some "Do Gooder" wants my address so they can send me the album. Yikes, trapped, I hate refusing folks and stay away from situations where I have to reciprocate largess provided by youtubers. For me it's a pain in the ass getting together a package for the person that sends me the goodies. Not that I don't appreciate the thought because I do. It's just difficult for me to find stuff in my collection to send back to the person. To know what to send that they will truly appreciate. They always tell you that you don't have to send them anything but I'm civilized. Somebody does you a solid you reciprocate. It's one of my rules.... Dug the story about Buckwheat and Clifton. I was into Chenier in the late 60s, a lot of us blues guys were. I particularly remember a later album called Frenchin' The Boogie.... Later Gator...

Damn those do gooders Bobby, may they all burn in hell lol. Dennis Brown, missed another great album. It’s fun to show the wall and then learn of all the great stuff that I missed haha. I would have loved seeing Chenier. Talk about party music

Mask required. I'll take my money elsewhere. Good luck with your business. Good that you found some keepers.
