Vladdy is likely playing with injuries to his leg and his wrist (and middle finger). Bautista suffered for a whole year with wrist injuries. In 2022 Vladdy suffered a wrist injury and this year he has been hit by pitch at least 8 times including a 2nd wrist injury. Fans who only care about winning need to consider that the players are humans, not characters in a fantasy baseball video game. And athletes that are relaxed rather than tense play/perform much better (think of Chapman at bats -- too tense). Breaking up the Barrio players led to a loss of joy and relaxed play.
I would vote to send Vlad packing in the off season. Would not miss him at all. In retrospect the team should have kept Teo and Lourdes and sent Vlad in a trade.
