Okk...I'm saying you a trick...
If it is in any other quadrant than first
Try to find the angle using sin term or cos term depending on which one is negative
If -1+i =z
√2(cos theta + i sin theta)
Cos term is negative because of -1
Cos theta = -1/√2
= -cos 45
Now we know..cos (180- theta)=-cos theta
So..cos(180-45)=cos 135= -cos 45
So..theta is 135 in 2nd quad
