With Different Eyes exactly what I felt when I first heard it. I've literally listened to this album at least 7 times since I got it yesterday and now again on here.
This song carries so much anger, despise and suffering that you would imagine Vincent was the most depressive man in the world when he is not even close to that.
The ambient dual-tone lead that starts fading in around 3:25 is spicier than mama's a' meatball. First time I heard that come in with the chord progression I got those chills that only certain music can make happen. This, by far, is my favorite song on this album. Runner up would be Model Citizen but damn, this is worth it's slams in gold.
Insomnimatic, I feel it too. I’m not a musician and don’t know musical terms, but in listening to that portion of the song I agree. It’s when I have to stop whatever else I might be doing or thinking about and just feel so intensely and feel my hands shake a bit and my throat gets a bit of lump in it. This and observer just compliment TASs other work so beautifully. While not as aggressive, they’re far angrier and deeper reaching. This whole album is just amazing, much better than coma witch (though observer just might be my absolute favourite song of theirs)
Absolutely perfect, wouldn’t change a thing. Resonates with me in a way most metal attempting this sound and emotion fails to. Goosebumps and a tingly spine. Lyrics and delivery fit with the atmosphere perfectly, it’s all come together. I love this band, and cannot understand how some people are saying all their music sounds the same (while others complain that its changed). They’ve succeeded in what all artists and communicators seek to do, and that is to illicit a response, a reaction, from their audience. Can’t help but want to scream with Vincent.
I appreciate that the acacia strains music is for the most part not needlessly busy. The drumming especially is forceful on this track, not distracting like a lot of metal drumming
Still here listening to this masterpiece. And now we get Failure Will Follow which is basically a side project of TAS now. I guess they started since Coma Witch.
In my opinion the dead walk was my favorite album ever made. Then they kept it going good with continent, then they kept it going good with wormwood. Then death is the only mortal was ok but not as good. Then with coma witch that was good but still not as good as their older shit. Now with this new album gravebloom I feel that they've found themselves again and gotten back on track
listened to this on repeat when i found out that my partner of 11 years and mother of my 2 daughters had been sexting her tattooist behind my back. i still remember watching the messages rolling in, wondering if it was a dream. it was not, and this is the perfect soundtrack for that kind of misery.
@@tfwnoyandere our relationship hadn't been great, and we were lapsing into friendship, so credit where credit's due for pulling the pin on a failing relationship, but it was not the way to go about it. we were on a family holiday overseas and they met at the studio in Berlin and it went from there on like 2 weeks
I'd like to thank The Acacia Strain for giving us this masterpiece and riserecords for giving it to us a little early last night. I got to enjoy the album in it's entirety before back, to back, to back 12 hour shifts this weekend and for that I am grateful.
Hey you Masons, should get more symbols, it is boring to always see triangles, eagles, squares and compasses as signs of your distinction, no doubt you live to surrender your will...
"Cold Gloom" is like a child of "Observer". THANK YOU TAS!
Goddamn Observer was fucking epic.

“There’s nobody out there, and no one can help. I am blistered from the frozen sun, find your own way home.”
Dude.
As simplistic as these lyrics are...damn do they hit all the right feelings straight home.
The realisation of Occam's Razor. 😌

Hang in there brev
Rooster Cogburns Eyepatch that is the best part... it’s just unfortunate the way some of us have to encounter this state of mind.
what did you do to push her to that?

Remember when The Acacia Strain was good? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
