haha, thanks for the comment! Our unscripted, one-take approach to things sometimes leads to awkward moments like this if we haven't thought about what we're gonna say beforehand... which happens quite often. - Mitchell
Hey guy's cool video, I also own a e30, and i can tell you that the smaller button on by the window regulator buttons is the lockout for the rear Windows an the lager gray one is a type of fuse. If the windows got blocked in any kind of way. It pops out an you have to push it in again to operate the windows again. The round cap on the firewall is the BMW diagnosis port. Greetings from Germany by the way. 👍
PS: for a smooth idle, you should swap out the intake boot for a non cracked one, so the value of the intake airflow sensor is correct. Have fun guy's. 👍
Hi there, thanks for the comment! That's good to know! I appreciate the info! I figured one was probably a window lock, but it's cool that is has a built in circuit breaker more or less. Yes I also looked into the diagnostics port, which has to be used to reset the oil service light it sounds like? Cool, good to hear from across the pond! Thanks, Greg
Right on! Yes, hoping to replace that intake boot as well as all the vacuum lines on the whole engine and then I'll be able to see where it's really at! Parts for these cars here in Ontario, Canada are much harder to find! Thanks again!
@@GBProductions0 hey Greg, exactly, on the diagnostics port you can reset the service interval thing in the cluster. You have to Bridge pin 7 to ground for around 10 second's while the ignition is switched on to reset it. Or simply buy one of that cheap reset things ob eBay.
Hello, thanks for the comment! Greg filmed another video on the car the week after we did the introduction back in November. That video should be coming out in May. As far as I know, this project is somewhat on the back burner for now until we finish the Case 600B tractor engine rebuild. We've taken on too many projects and not nearly enough time to work on them all regularly unfortunately. - Mitchell
Thanks for the information! Hopefully it lasts a bit longer for us. Currently Greg wants to keep this engine and install a turbocharger (can't remember if we talked about it in this or the other videos we have done so far). But if it doesn't last, we may go searching for a 325i (not e) engine instead, though they are getting very hard to find, especially in Canada. - Mitchell
@@GBProductions0 your engine sounded ok timingchain wise. only thing little concerned that buildup inside waterjacket i would flush it properly engine running garden hose to heaterhose. theres seal from waterpump to cylinder head and thats weak point, not running years doesnt help. if there is additional waterpump to heater core wire it so you can over ride that if overheating happen, you can turn engine off and keep water circulating. i have cracked head on my M42. id take M42 any time over M20 engine. keep new videos rolling
Found this channel randomly. Gonna watch all the videos
Nice! Hope you enjoy! Lots of new content coming up starting in August!
Lmfao saw this randomly and it's funny how awkward the introduction is. Keep killing it guys!
