- Abuja Gwarinpa is acclaimed to be the largest single housing estate in Africa which sits on an expanse of land measuring about 1090 hectares with seven residential areas demarcated by avenues. Built-in early 2000, Gwarinpa in Abuja was conceptualized by late alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande as minister of works under the general Abacha regime as the military head of state.
Abuja Gwarinpa is a city of its own, having all the infrastructure and fabrics that make up a city. From Police stations to places of worship, entertainment center, shopping mall, eateries, local markets, and banks. There is also proper sewage and water infrastructure in Gwarinpa.
Gwarinpa in Abuja is also bordered by interesting places such as Jabi lake, where you find the Jabi lake mall for shopping, Jabi boat club, and Jabi park for relaxation and fun activities.
Abuja Gwarinpa is considered a middle/high-income earners district and a good living location of choice for many people who moved to Abuja. Although Gwarinpa is well planned, you will still find a corner called Gwarinpa village that has been accompanied by the poor and daily street hustlers.

I think the only thing guzape have on gwarinpa are just their big houses nothing else bcux from this video, gwarinpa have better neat roads adorned with green, nice house though not as big as guzapa, shopes, cinema and everything u need

Very good initiative that he did. But where did he get the money to build all that? Was he corrupt and stole money belonging to ordinary Nigerians who are poor? This money would have been used to build good hospitals, fund free education and healthcare,build low cost houses for ordinary Nigerians, etc, etc. I am more into wealth sharing and equal opportunities, not one man wealth which is even stolen from the people.

The initial unit built as planed was 1800. For Gwarinpa 2
But if you have been to Gwarinpa, you Will know that that no has doubled more than 10 times
