  • TIA Portal PLC Programming | Function Blocks Timers and Sequence Tutorial Siemens S7-1200 Simulation
In the fourth episode of the Siemens PLC Programming Tutorials, we’re building a program contained within a function block in TIA Portal. Our goal is to create the basic functionality of a mixing process that would allow us to replicate the tank as needed. In order to accomplish the task, we’re using function blocks, timers, and various data blocks. Lastly, we go over some of the methodologies used to troubleshoot the logic, build a better understanding of how to reliably validate our online interactions, and answer the question we’ve received in a previous video which is about how to make online changes in Siemens TIA Portal.

Having worked for many years as a Controls Engineer, I can say this instructor is one of the best. He knows what he is doing and gets right to the things that matter. He doesn't waste your valuable time with unnecessary chatter.

In this block, we can possible to call multiple time for other tank operation.

I was looking for a tutorial on timers in TIA Portal and found this video.
I'm a little confused why you chose to use a "single instance" for your timer at about @5:20.
As I see it, that will mean that if you add more instances of the Mixer FB, they will all be using the same timer.
I believe you should have chosen a "multi instance" for your timer.
Please correct me if I'm wrong!
