Snoots will hate on Chinese brands and grouse about homages but, in addition to their homages, Seestern, Proxima, and San Martin also produce divers featuring beautiful in-house designs, impeccable finishing, and first-class calibers (Sellita and ETA are often offered as options to the excellent hi-beat Chinese PT5000 and ST2130 movements) - and at a fraction of the cost of the big names brands.
Hi, the watch on my wrist today is the Seiko Sumo with green dial. As an owner of Sumo, I have to say this is a truly beautiful watch. It matches most of the occasions and clothes. Happy to see Sumo on your list!
wearing the longines hydroconquest blue. I searched a dive watch under 2000 chf for 2 years, and I can easily say it was worth it. (One important note: make sure the bezel is well aligned before purchasing as these models have a tendency to be slightly miss-aligned counter clockwise.)
Depending on budget my picks at each price point would be: Casio Citizen Christopher Ward Longines Longines I'm currently wearing a Hamilton Jazzmaster Automatic but I have been wearing a 1949 Smiths 12-15 up until a half hour ago.
You can spec the CW watches to whatever strap or bracelet you want if Orange isn't your thing. That being said I have a blue rubber on my bronze aquatine and its super comfortable and matches nicely. They also do buy 2 get 1 free on their straps when you buy a piece sometimes and I have 'borrowed' all of those straps to make my other watches look upscale. You put a CW strap on an Orient Kamasu or similar it looks like its $500 USD vs. $200
Not a dive watch for me today....wearing my new Citizen Zenshin Super Titanium White Dial....with thanks to Harrison and Chisholm Hunter. I love the lightness of the titanium on the wrist and the texture on the dial is stunning for such an affordable watch. The Longines, CW and Doxa caught my eye in the video. Thanks for the great video!
Excellent video as usual, really like the look of the hydroconquest GMT but not sure if it's to big for my six and a half inch wrist, would be great if they made it in a 39mm size of the previous generation. On my wrist today is the Tudor Black Bay 54 on the bracelet
I feel like the popularity of divers has decreased over the last 1-2 years , so this is an interesting video to put out :) so you think that dress watches will become the dominant model over the next few years as I see most brands are leaning towards sporty/dress or sporty but with extra polish.
It's relative affordable to the ones in the luxery section. That cost 7 to 8 times as much. (Omega Seamaster and Rolex Submariner for example.) For the budget friendly option, there is always the Casio Duro.
500£ for an Invicta Pro Diver? More like 75£....
Seriouusly , it's the low price that makes Invicta so appealing.
Right!?! If you paid $550 for an Invicta, can I interest you in a Seiko 5 for $1,000?
Came to comment that
Harrison, another great video! On my wrist today: Breitling Jupiter Pilot, blue dial. 35 years old and runs as good as new!
Thanks bud, Breitling are crushing it at the moment!!

Great video! As always.
On my wrist Longines Hydroconquest GMT in Brown.

The CW trident 300 also comes in two different sizes and three other colours. I love my black 38mm.
The Tuseno Shellback deserves a look on a list like this!

Talking about affordable dive watches and not a single word about Orient? Where are you?
Omega Speedmaster Reduced 3513.30 silver dial
Citizen pro master eco drive quartz red dial on my wrist
36mm Rolex OP silver dial
Longines Zulu Time 42 mm Black/Green on my wrist.

The King.
Casio💪
I like your videos, but: Why do you pronounce Longines like long jeans? The s is silent.
We don't talk about certina!
Maybe you’re thinking of the “sweet spot” for size not “unicorn”. 😁
I think he may have meant “Goldilocks size” 😆
What do you mean by fully rotating bezel? That's meaningless. Ideally, a dive watch should have a unidirectional bezel, that yes, rotates infinitely.
If it rotates clockwise AND anticlockwise, it's not a diver.
Sorry but any watch over 1k is not affordable for the majority of people on this planet.
I have the Sumo and no, it isn't worth it.

where Mido
Affordable watch dive watches and not a single word about Orient???? Where you live??
I think thats because may be he's talking about only ISO certified dive watches
Meh...
nothing hot about a seiko.
Very informative video once again 💪👍👏🫶 on my wrist Hamilton Khaki GMT chrono…
