ok, so for beach read, I can totally understand being underwhelmed if you went into it expecting something fluffy and beachy. However i think the author never really intended to be that kind of light and fluffy romance, and I don't feel like it was "bogged down" with January's issues around her dad. I get how the title and cover are kind of misleading, but I also think that was intentional on the author's part. Idk, I think that her and Gus helping each other deal with their traumas was a really lovely part of the book, and I loved reading a romance with darker elements.
im with you! beach read is my absolute favorite and i feel like the main reason why people disliked it is because they were expecting something fluffly and light.
I don't always agree with your opinion but your delivery always has me coming back for more. You need your own podcast, full of your honest hard core opinions on all the things!!!
I loved everything about this! I’m so excited that someone has been able to so accurately detail my issues with Christina Lauren. This was so fun to watch.
Not the point of the video but you are an incredible speaker. Normally these types of videos I just put on in the background while I clean or something but you’re very good at commanding attention hahah. Super engaging and not many “um’s” or “like”. Love that for you!
This is a MOVIE. I just found your channel and I’m absolutely so excited!!! Only 10 minutes in but I can already tell I’m gonna looovee your content omg thank u for doing this what a fun challenge!!!
" Used their minds and mouths to actually fucking communicate" The fact that you has to say that and it was actually a bit of a shock when I heard it says something about the romancs genre
It's so interesting how people can have such different reactions to certain books. I've read a handful of the books in this list and some I totally agree with you on ("The Kiss Quotient" is AMAZING!) and others totally disagree (I really loved "The Happily Ever After Playlist", it's a total comfort read for me). It just goes to show that it's nice to get recommendations but nothing substitutes just diving in and giving a book a chance! The video was really fun and I'm super impressed with the number of reviews you were able to get through.
I just finished reading Beach Read and I definitely agreed with what you said about it. It didn't do really anything, I just thought it was too much focus on their romance as well. I did put two of the books in my Want to Read list from the video!
This was my first time watching one of your videos, and wow, this did not disappoint. Your brutal honesty, sarcasm, and overall just everything about this video was great. You've definitely got a new subscriber :)

I love The Proposal, but I totally get why people don't get it. What I loved about it was the conflict that the main character had before the romance started, with a former boyfriend completely discrediting her life's work, was something that happened to me and the way that the main character deals with that was healing to read about.
