    Great video!.
Are these 10 new DLs identical to 2018 batch of DLs, or do
    they have minor modifications?.

@@C.S.RailPhotography Thank you for your reply.
As I understand it, the entire fleet of DL locomotives are speed restricted to
80 kph and therefore only used for hauling freight trains.
I was hoping that at least some of the DL Locomotives be modified, so they
can be used on fast passenger trains e.g. The Northern Explorer, Te Huia,
The Capital Connection and The Wairarapa Connection.

@@johnjkiwi7818 I’m not sure on this but I think mabye 1 or 2 of the older ones might have been modified to 100km/h

@@johnjkiwi7818 what is the maximum speed allowed by the quiet undercarriage?
faster locomotives alone are of no use to anyone if the possible speed cannot be used for safety reasons.
how fast do the locomotives that have been pulling passenger trains go?

@@beatrueegg2722 Thank you for your question. I am not a Locomotive Engineer, but I believe that the
maximum speed for a passenger train hauled by a locomotive is 100km/h.
So the locomotives that are certified for passenger trains the DX, DFB, DCP and EF locos have to
be capable of 100km/h at the very least.
