Kanami was channeling her inner Tom Morello with that lead riff but it came out all cute and shit. Then the solo happened. I just love what they do every time. Do Freezer next!
Band maid is well Diverse and dynamically good., thier trade mark transition, they really master transition.... Kanami is a riff machine.... She is my six string samurai
This song is a slow build (love the foreshadowing at the end of the first chorus) to Kanami's emotional solo, a slight settle back for the last chorus, then a soaring outro solo to sum it up. Just brilliant!
The live version from Studio Coast in 2017 is one of my absolute favorite live performances from them. I've watched it dozens of times. You could probably find it on that certain site from the Social Network or that one that's based in the Far East. The Band-Maiko version is beautiful also.
The first time I heard this song was in the Christmas acoustic concert and fell in love with it instantly. I then hunted down a live version - Studio Coast and it blew me away. The main groove of Misa, Akane and Miku is sublime, Saiki's vocals are in that sultry part of her range that I love so much and Kanami seems to have included all the riffs she had leftover that day and got quite bluesy as well.
Band-Maid sets you on a journey and you are unsure where to get off . Then you come to an understanding why think about it and just continue the ride . They only get better ... Nice hearing you're perspective's .
During its early compositional stages, there were several incarnations of Awkward, but this was MISA’s favorite. So much so, she felt the need to put her foot down and insisted on this one!💪🏻🤘🏻
Oh thank you for that was waiting for you do it! One of my favorite only topped by Sayonakidori in my Band-Maid songs ranking. The composition is absolutely brilliant with all those changes and the ending send me to heaven every time! But honestly this song can be summarized with only 3 words: MISA MISA MISA!!! She OWNS this song (even more in the acoustic version) her bass lines are just fan-f'n-tastic I really need to learn to play that song one day.
I hope you have now seen the live version from Studio Coast concert. That is the ultimate version of this song and makes my Band-Maid top 5. When you are done with your B-M journey should sign up for Band-Maid Prime. This concert and many other goodies are there that were formerly on Y-T.
This was a sleeper, but was one of my favorites since I first heard it in the live version. That Kanami solo is my second favorite of hers, after "Alone". It just sounds so out of control. And of course she chose every note.
Since I assume you're pre-producing, it's a real shame I was too late to update a certain storage. Sorry! I only put the Studio Coast recording there the other day. And even though I was too late for this video, I can only warmly recommend the performance to you. :) The song is just great. With the constant build-up, you feel like you're listening to a completely different song at the end than you did at the beginning. _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. @@GlassMoonGaming I will update the said storage right away with the live version for the song 'Screaming', which is the last song with a Maiko cover for the time being. ✌🏻
An enjoyable song, but I do think it takes a little long to get going. I think this is one where I would have liked to seen them get a bit experimental with the composition and rearrange it a bit. Perhaps trade the second verse with the solo. The song as is has a low energy first chorus IMHO so the song is slowly until it starts swelling halfway through the second chorus until it burst and eventually peters out as it does since the solo is higher energy than the third chorus with no bridge in between, so it is very much one ramp and descent, whereas it might be more fun to start slow then abruptly take off with the solo and then second chorus, come down with the post chorus riff off chorus 1 and the first half of verse 2 then ramp up the second half of the second verse as it already does, then back to high energy chorus 3 and let the outro solo play the song out. I think that would give the song a bit more punch and make for more of a journey. Just my opinion though.
What a crazy amazing song! Let me know your thoughts. Don't forget to Like and Subscribe! Check out the NEW Amazon links in the description!
'Awkward' - It's one of their very best in my opinion. Live it's a killer!
Gotta see it live!

It's on the list! Stay tuned!

I love that description! Thanks!
Awkward -- a song somewhere between unexpected and masterful. Thx, G-Moon!

That's a great way to describe it all!
You need to watch them play this live . They have an intro to the song . You can get it from Bili bili
I'll have to check it out, thanks!

I really gotta check out that acoustic version! Thanks!

I have yet to see it, but it's on the agenda as soon as I'm able! Thanks!

It's amazing! Thanks!
Awkward is a song I can't listen to just once, I always go back and listen to it again. It just makes me feel good. 🙏
I know what ya mean! Thanks!
The outro solo always reminds me of Steve Hackett. Love it ❤️🤘
Nice! Thanks!
The only thing consistent in each Band-Maid song is their inconsistency in each song.
Nice!
They love surprising us

Yeah, I definitely have to pre-produce because of work schedule. I'm definitely gonna check out that version as soon as I'm able. Thanks!

If you are wanting country...Page is probably the closest they have to a country song.
Yeah, you're probably right. I reacted to it a while back: ruclips.net/video/gptEuwDqv2U/видео.html
