figured out that i probably had a 14-16 year break, league starts tomorrow! i was looking for something fun to do and remembered i liked bowling, just hated the 9 am time slot of youth league. 180 or so used to be my average, and i was starting to hit 200s pretty frequently when i stopped. it looks like i'm doing 160 or so average now, but i've been tweaking my form a lot and not quite really bowling for score but i did get my first 7/8/9/10 bagger and been chasing after that again pretty hard.
14 years. From 18 to 32. got my first 300 at 16, went to a few EYC events, joined the army, finished my SW engineer degree. When my wife got pregnant two and a half years ago I figured it's now or never so I came back :) bowling a few times a week, just going back to the competitive scene.
I took a 17-year break. Stopped shortly after my YABA years, bowled in 2 adult leagues, the last one was a scratch league back in '05. I grew up in a bowling center then worked in a couple, definitely needed a break. I've been back actively bowling for a year, bowled a sport shot league this past summer, and am now subbing for half a season for a fall league. Left-handed, and happy to see Barks back!
Barks is back! Keep em coming, man. Love seeing the lefty content. Also thanks for the Buffa promo code. Placed a couple orders for some grips and an insert remover. 👌👌
17- 30 I took a break. I’m happy to have found love for the game again. I’ve met a lot of great people and enjoy league every week. This ball looks good
Took four years off from USBC competition due to joining the Army and not having time to compete while at my first duty station. I was strictly an EBI fan, particularly the Ebonite brand, prior to the hiatus. I was actually stationed 30 minutes away from the EBI plant and was able to tour it before it closed due to Brunswick acquiring EBI. When I transferred to my current duty station, I had some free time to join a league and gravitated towards the Hammer brand.
What barks no more hammer I’m sad but glad track picked you up I pray all goes well I going to miss the videos for hammer and radical but I like track as well be blessed today and every day

Impressive content, JR Pro Shop. Looking forward to your next upload. I smashed that thumbs up button on your video. Keep up the fantastic work! Your insights on the new track Criterion were enlightening. Considering the differences in core shapes, how do you think the cover stock's color influences the ball's performance in different lane conditions?

From league, 18 years. I took off from 2004 to 2022! Wish I hadn't taken that long off, but that's life!

My longest break was 21 years. Been back for two years. Beginning of this year I went back to thumb out one hand like I bowled in the 1990s.
