Partially Ice Age 3 and 2005 King Kong (two of my favourite movies), partially Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth and its rather poor/underused worldbuilding potential. A third part was a dream I had about prehistoric creatures coming out of a "hollow earth" world. So quite a bit.
Esta increíble y es muy interesante tu versión , yo estoy haciendo una historia pues que trata de que están descubriendo un mundo hueco como yo le llama y me pareció interesante como se produce la luz en el mundo que creaste
@TheWorldmaker-nr2gl are there any crocodylomorphs or therapod-like dinosaurs evolving crocodilian-like characteristics? You did say that the only inhabitants in Subterramundus are Therapods, Sauropods, Pterosaurs, Ceratopsians, Early mammals, Snakes, Birds, Insects(and other arthropods), and Fish(maybe lizards, turtles, and amphibians) If there aren't any crocodiles at all, then yeah, the niche would pick up to fill up that space. if there are lizards I could expect maybe pseudo-marine reptiles to fill up the crocodilian niche and the same with turtles or with any amphibian-like reptile. If none then I could expect maybe something similar to Kaimere's dinosaurs. Either way, I would love to see how this would play out.
@@xenodragomorph There are a number of clades that I didn’t mention to avoid unnecessarily long sentences, but I did forget crocodiles. Crocodylomorphs are present and quite widespread in Subterramundus, as are lizards, amphibians and turtles.
A thought: Is the lightning produced by energy or something physical? Because a thought has occurred to me - what if the stuff wears grooves into the ceiling that it travels along, like rivers carving canyons? It'd make a helluva visual - rushing *rivers* of light coursing along light-canals of their own, casting some areas in perpetual twilight gloom.
Well, it does move along the ceiling in a water like fashion since it's attracted to the moon, but it doesn't wear the stone. But that would indeed be an amazing sight to behold!
I wonder if there will come a time when human explorers will stumble into this hidden world. Perhaps some homo erectus, Neanderthal, or homo Sapiens sapiens tribes found those cave systems while fleeing from extinctions events and have evolved into something new and terrifying.
Could the light be due to bioluminescence? If microbes are involved, they may also be in the air, especially in dust and fog. Or bioluminescent organisms grow on the ground and on stone, and the substance you mentioned reflects their light.
Bioluminescence, while certainly abundant in Subterramundus, is nowhere near strong enough to light the caverns the way the gas does. That is a nice idea though
@@TheWorldmaker-nr2gl, What about a combination of bioluminescence from airborne microbes, bioluminescence from organisms on the ceiling, and organisms that reflect light like mirrors?
@@АртурСултанов-р1ф I doubt that would be strong enough to replace the sun, and it would certainly not produce a lot of heat. If you want, use it in your own project, but this is what I have decided on for Subterramundus
@@TheWorldmaker-nr2gl, but the heat comes not only from the sun, but also from the earth’s mantle (a huge layer of magma). In addition, many living creatures also emit heat, and in the cave there will not be such strong winds as on the surface, and the air heated under the influence of living organisms will remain in the cave. Moreover, are there any substances that would simultaneously glow and be gaseous at room temperature? So it is most likely that bioluminescent organisms are responsible for the glow of your “gas”.
@@АртурСултанов-р1ф the gas is a product of the earth, it produces light and heat, much like fire or the actual sun. Organic production has nothing to do with the light. Cold water and minimal vents as well as the coldness of the surrounding stone is what keeps the caverns from overheating.
