Earlier in the week we shared a succulent Chinese meal with three of the best dog punters in Australia.
We asked them to help us try and win punting on the hounds.
They gave us 6 key factors to look for.
We then went away and all did the form based on those factors.
And then we all met in the Den and bet with a bank of $3k supplied by Wolfden and Betfair.
6 Factors:
What direction the dog goes when they jump and whether it will get a good run or it will impede other dogs - we will watch videos of all dogs on dogs.com.au of their last two runs. A dog gets a point if it looks like it will get a clear run. Need to watch the head on footage at the end of replay.
Early speed - dog gets point for being a leader, can find this out via Wolfden app or website
Fastest time at track and distance, can be found on dogs.com.au
Runs at track and distance - on Wolfden form guide
Trainer strike rate dogs that are higher than 25% - can be found on dogs.com.au
Market mover - firmed 4 rolls or more
Staking rules:
$3,000 starting bank - $1500 from BF $1500 from Wolfden
Max outlay on a race is $300, bet to win $500 per dog, max stake $200 on any one dog - anyone joining in at home can adjust their bank accordingly.
Can't take more than 66% of the market on a race, eliminate dogs with less factor points to get under the percentage threshold, if that doesn’t help then don’t bet on the race.
Trading rules:
Monitor Betfair for market intel. Try and judge if a dog is going to firm or drift.
If a dog looks like it is going to firm its a full bet to win $500 max stake $200, if it doesn't firm it’s a half bet to win $250, max stake $100

That was brilliant, really captures how good greyhound racing really is.... I'm yet to find where to get Aussie racecards/speed maps... Irish/UK cards are much more accessible and easy read
