    Useful video. I bought a pair of dual displays to play with my Pico, also with the aim to use the multiplexer later following your video. Couldn't get them to light and after an investigation I discovered that the supplier had sent me Common Anode displays and not what I had ordered which were common cathode! Also the pin outs were different. Modified your SW to use inverse values and correct pin outs. 😂

      Awesome fix Peter! I have had that same problem numerous times with "inexpensive" LEDs and displays like this.
      Either way, it is a heck of a learning experience!

    on the longer breadboard the power rails might not run end to end, could be split in the middle,
    so if not running as expected check the rails

      Thanks for the great comment. I have run into just one of those types of breadboards. Perhaps this is something "newer"?

      Had that issue as well, only using 1 half
