Cow tipping redefined!
Those are Free Range
They were probably let out when the owner evacuated so they wouldn't drown if the field they were in flooded. Very smart and humane of the owner.
You would hope so....l think they probably escaped from a field though......no electricity for the fences...
The cows all survived. Haha
🙏 Que Deus abençoe a todos!! 🙏
The property devastation is only just the beginning of no homes, jobs or loss of life. Wishing everyone who has and will be affected the strength they need to persevere 🙏.
Exactly. Mother Nature is no joke and when it devastates folks pull together. But with this Pandemic, this is going to be worse. All Prayers to LA
Plz look were this place is on the map and you will see that there is no wind or sea protection at all. Sorry to see their loses.
It doesn't seem to matter how many of these videos I watch or how many times I watch them, I'm always amazed and fascinating by what the wind is capable of.
Possibly the sight of water and the sound of wind sooths you.
Me too
I love watching wind and rain.

They stopped for grass before going to the moovies.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to everyone in Louisiana
Homie left that Corvette just knowing insurance was gonna take care of those payments... But, she's still mint 😂
Exactly what I was thinking, it looked like it was parked there after the storm lol just as clean as possible.
Looked like it was worth way more than house ..odd for a vette owner to leave it ..
Yeah he will be pissed when he sees that
That’s what he gets for buying a yellow corvette.
@@redfishrambo5761 I hope he had flood insurance. Insurance normally don't pay car insurance claims if there was a chance of water damage. You have to have a special rider.

Merciful God in heaven, please help all of these people who have lost their property and homes to get their lives back. Please keep them safe in all of their journeys and endeavors to return to lives once again. Amen.

Amen
I'll take a prayer to send these storms elsewhere for a while. Do you realize, after all these prayers, almost every meaningful location in south Louisiana has been destroyed at least once in the last 16 years by hurricanes! Faith has to, at least occasionally, be confirmed. It's not working.
@@xxfitzfitzxx I would love it if God was like a gum ball machine. Put the nickel in and get a gum ball. If prayer and response worked like that, everyone on earth would pray 24 hours a day. I’m sorry to say it does not.
@@The333Wanderer You do realize that, while the sentiment is appreciated, all these people putting comments with "prayers" are hiding valuable information such as where gas is available, energy updates, road updates, etc. Some of us have to survive in dangerous heat right now and no power, and have been hit over and over again. No, I don't need prayers, we need food and shelter.
Poor cows, poor people. Ducks seemed to be having a good time of it. So sorry for all affected, and person filming, thanks for showing real footage, but I worry about wires and trees, you could be more careful.
Poor animals without any protection.
I know, I never understood that. IF I had farm animals I'd have to have somewhere so that they'd have protection from these storms and wintery weather.
Ahh
The wild ones generally do better. Birds, marine life, and domestic have a very tough time. The dark side of nature. Hope for the best.

Got to rethink power poles and lines above ground in a hurricane zone. Same for billboards and tin roofs.
Was thinking the same.
Nah... around here we call that JOB SECURITY! 🤣
Also metal buildings. Should be against building code. And poor quality metal roofs. Built properly, nothing should implode or fly away. Poured concrete is the way to go and quality metal roof.
@@laurie7689 the same thing would happen to the power lines that happened to the dead bodies before we started burying above ground, they would float to the surface.
@@laurie7689 As long as the lines were in-cased in some sort of waterproofing I think they would fine. But that's a good question.
when we had the ice storm back in 1998 all the telephone poles in the city were completely broken in half.. my prayers for the people being in this terrible situation
Wow! This brings back so many memories of Hurricane Katrina. I had to sleep in the hallway because the winds were so strong. That was a scary storm. I hope people listen to the officials out there and got out. Stay safe.
Way too many people stayed.
Concrete dome homes do not suffer this level of damage. Can't figure out why people keep building back the same old way.
You're right, they are echoey, but I love them
$$$
Sure they do...
I would love to know who builds them in Florida
Cheap gov't funding for the poor.
I don’t understand why places like that don’t have steel and concrete power line poles. Once a pole is down replace it with hurricane strength poles. Takes a little longer but much better long term
Because its much cheaper to replace this way. Underground lines and cement poles for long distance are exorbitantly expensive. Doesn't mean I agree, but that's the reality.
Corvette still looked OK
And the John Deere equipment...sturdy!
So did the ice machine at what's left of the gas station.
I have been crying for almost an hour, Im so emotional with everything that is happening... I truly pray for you guys..... 😢😢

@Knife Peterson Somehow he will find a way to blame it on Trump.
@Knife Peterson Moron Biden didn't do anything for the flood victims in Tennessee last week so I don't expect him to do much here.
I know. Ive been thinking about people who were live and well this morning and today or tomorrow have lost their life's 😥
To those suffering from the effects of Ida, I'm praying for you. ♥️
Stay safe men. Thank you for capturing the footage and sharing.
It's so sad because so many cities are being effected by this storm. Going to be massive damage through out the state, not just coastal.
it's horrible and so sad. Such a horrible hit. South and south west Alabama has a lot of flooding. We are still under watches and warnings in south central al. through Tuesday.
My heart goes out to those in LA and Ms. I hope everyone stays safe.
Major damage. Y’all need to petition lawmakers to get some hurricane building codes like Miami-Dade did after Andrew in 1992. By the year 2000, statewide in FL, all buildings had to be up to date with code to meet the Miami-Dade standards.
That makes too much sense. It will cost money-to be looked at as an investment in the future.
There are building codes there. Why wouldn’t there be… as well as every manufactured home has to have a hurricane rating. These storms are extremely powerful and no matter what you have, damage is inevitable. Yes, you can build something that could withstand Cat 5, but it would cost a fortune, and like it’s been said, a lot of these people are elderly with little income, and sone are living check to check. We will get pass this, but it’s gonna be a long road ahead. I was a lineman for Katrina, and when I went down to plaqumines parish and the 9th ward, I didn’t think there was anyway that could ever be habitable again. We all thought it would be completely abandoned after that, but the spirit of Louisiana’s people didn’t let that stop us, and with gods help, we will prevail again!
Looks like the aftermath of hurricane Michael in Panama City when I returned home after evacuating. I didn't even recognize my street, drove right by it.

Omg, that’s my old boss calling! 🤣
Building standards in hurricane zones seriously need to be looked at, not just the USA as this seems to be a world wide issue with many structures just not up to the job.
Once you learn how strong a Cat 5 hurricane is, then you will know why.
How about - bury the wires, Something that should be done nationwide!
Hurricanes and flooding in the eastern US, fireproofing in the western US. Things are changing. The fires in the west are no longer an anomaly. They happen every year. Same goes for hurricanes and flooding in the east. I agree, the building codes have to change or our infrastructure will become more and more fragile every year.
@@1971marksan do you know why we don’t bury our dead n the ground in southern Louisiana? Because the bodies float up out of the ground. The same thing would happen to underground power lines. The water table is too high to do it there. In Houma, you can dig like 2ft down and hit water. There in Golden Meadow it’s worse.
@@MrWolfSnack I live in Australia, we get Cat 5 cyclones. Our older towns that get a once in a generation hit get smashed because they were built +60 years ago, our towns that get hit often have manageable damage because they are built to modern standards. The standards exist for wind resistance and they work. Flooding is a different story.
saw all them cows in the road and thought the weather was so bad they all came out singing "we're not gonna take it"
We need to sing it with the cows.
It appears that the storm struck at low tide, which was a huge blessing. As bad as it was, could have been much worse.
Luvkily it was neap and not spring tide
My prayers for the people. God give you strength to go forward.
Hard to see the animals wandering around with no where to go.
its better some farmers let them go, instead of leaving them in a field that can get flooded.
So glad to see someone let their cows roam free, rather than pen them up in fields that might have flooded. Good thinking!

What recovery? Lake charles is still a sea of blue a year later.
I'm from Houma but moved to Lake Charles (transfered there with company I worked for in Carlyss) and saw the destruction of Rita. Felt so horrible for my friends there last year. I've been back in Houma for a while and lost everything for Ida. It completely changes lives but we are "Louisiana Strong".

that yellow Vette stands out like the little girl in red in Schindlers List
Yeah I noticed that too...scary.
Cows are chill. “Brisk today huh Elsie?”
Maybe we can learn a thing or two from the animals.. They stayed together in the midst of a storm. Imagine if adversity led to increased support and unity among people...
They tried to stay together. There were several young calves with the group that could have easily been picked up by wind this strong. Hard to say after seeing them how many were in the original group. They appear frightened and lost.
A salute to all who took the time and energy to record and post the realities of a Class 4 hurricane. It's sobering, to say the least.
Sure hope the cows don't get electrocuted.

The storm and the damage isn’t the problem. It’s once the storm has moved on, sun comes out & the heat sets in, no electricity, no AC, no ice, no gas, and no cell service, for days! That’s going to suck!
