    Don't play games with the company by going through the exit interview. Simply quit and move forward. You are not bound to do anything for them.

    Hi ma'am,
    I've recently joined a corporate job, but it's just been a month and I want to leave my job to pursue my passion.
    And I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to say to my manager or during the exit interview.
    It would be great if you could provide your insights ma'am.

    • @Careervues
      @Careervues  2 года назад +1

      Hi Namith,
      If you have all the logistics of your earnings sorted and don’t want to do a job, you can leave this job with minimal notice. Inform your manager that you have some personal concerns due to which you would not like to continue this job. I hope you don’t need any exit documentation or give an exit interview from a 1 month job, I recommend completely removing this experience from your CV.
      Let me know how it goes with your boss.

    If there is nothing mentioned in the contract, how much notice period one has to serve after resignation?

    • @Careervues
      @Careervues  4 года назад

      Hi
      The notice period depends on which stage of employment on is giving the resignation. If one is resigning during probation there might be no need of notice but if one is resigning as a permanent employee without having anything stated in the contract 2 weeks is a good time to serve notice.

    I wish to join company in Malta soon and leaving ex company.
    What should I do if my boss does not agree to leave me.
    Or does not accept my resignation because I have to get my termination letter to join another company. It's the legal requirements here Malta Europe.

    • @Careervues
      @Careervues  3 года назад

      @zia no employer can refuse to accept the resignation, provided you are completing the exit process as per the labor law.
      I would recommend talking to your company HR about the exit process and documentation to be completed from your side to get a release letter and see what do they say.
      Keep all communication in written form. Keep me posted so that I can advise further.

    • @Careervues

      Yes it should be ok to use your accrued leave or any pending leave to settle the notice. Provided there is a policy on accrued leave as many companies has made many changes due to Covid situation.

    Hello Madam ! Hope you are in good health ! Hope you remember my case madam.. my company did not relieve me in 45 days. I lost that job. Further they asked me to follow the contract & complete 90days. I am left with last 10 days. Surprisingly, after my promotion, when they renewed the contract, they smartly removed that 1 line, which went un-noticed where the provision of buyout option was mentioned. I requested a lot & it didn't work out. Good part is all is still smooth, nothing ugly at all. Now I am looking for opportunities and leave for good.

    • @nitishpande377
      @nitishpande377 3 года назад

      Also due to Covid spread in my 6/7 members in family, I took EL/OL leaves of 30+ days, so they also saved money there & I worked for almost 2 months

    • @nitishpande377
      @nitishpande377 3 года назад

      You were right in your observation that, my office is trying to save money.. & are not flexible. I've seen companies pay their departing employees and leave at the earliest possible. There is no point in paying a person for 3 months after resigning.. doesn't add value/affect company later in 5 years

    • @Careervues
      @Careervues  3 года назад

      That’s good that things didn’t went further wrong because in such cases if you have an original contract you can take such employers to labor for changing documents.

    Ma'am in mine Notes period if they make to work more then 8 hour wat should I do any suggestions

    • @Careervues
      @Careervues  Год назад

      Hi Clinton,
      Is there a way you could track your overtime?
      No company should exploit the leaving employee. You clearly tell them that you will not be working extra hours during your notice, if they want it for something specific they should ask over an email with days. You can also refuse on same email and they cannot do much about it.

  • @vinayakkulkarni5407

    Can i get relieving letter in India, if I not served last working day ( notice period)
    Total notice period 15 days, 1 day missed , not served

    • @Careervues
      @Careervues  3 года назад

      In this case talk to the HR department and request for relieving letter, check if they could adjust 1 day as a sick leave. Incase they refuse ask them for the options to get your release letter.

      In this situation if your contract states 2 months you are obliged to serve 2 months notice. Only option to join earlier is to buy back your notice period with current employer.

    I simply disagree. Exit interviews is simply a pissing contest to see who breaks professionalism first. If you stay positive, you did not really leave any feedback. If you tell them the truth (EVEN POLITELY) they view you as a hostile employee. Thus leaving nothing said, nothing done with the information and nothing productive coming of it. Have heard and seen how HR view the complainer as "the problem" and dismiss the things said because, "They are gone now."

    • @Careervues
      @Careervues  3 года назад +1

      It’s sad. It shouldn’t be this way but unfortunately it is. But again it an employee’s choice to avoid being a part of an exit interview & based on work relationships with the organization this decision should be made to do an exit interview or to completely avoid it.

    Ma'am, do I need to serve notice period in my probation period.
    It says two months of notice period , but there is no bond . Just that in ,
    lieu of notice period, payment may be Fully or partial waiver of this clause, Full discretion of company.
    It says the above line.
    So am I obliged to serve notice period , and if not will they charge me with anything??

      If there is no clause mentioned in your contract to serve notice during probation, I recommend you do not have to serve any notice but give your employer a week’s time to handover your tasks and take your stand to leave by choice.
