This is no Blitz, it’s an Australian truck made by International Trucks in Dandenong, Victoria for the Australian Army, they are called AACO’s (Australian Army Cab Over). A lot of them went over to Vietnam. These trucks are nicknamed “ButterBoxes” because of the shape of the cab being like an old butter box. The civilian model AACO (butter box) was replaced by International Trucks in 1972 by the ACCO (Australian Constructed Cab Over) engineered and built in Dandenong, Australia.
And it was only a few years ago they were getting rid of these very capable vehicles because there was a goal to reduce the average age of the vehicles in service. Clever politicians, they have our backs
