Thanks for this. Actually really useful - I'd brought the game and had a refund as the theming aspect was simply too heavy and took the fun out - but the way you've shown how it works has prompted me to pick it up and give it another go. You make it straight forward and explain it clearly. Very nicely done.
Thanks for the positive feedback, I'm happy to hear you found the video so useful. The building tools in Planet Coaster are pretty amazing and I hope you have as much fun as I did playing with them!
I got involved with your vids a couple years ago with Civ 5 and have been a subscriber ever since. I then started watching your let's plays with XCom 2 a couple months ago and have enjoyed those as well. Now I have just purchased Planet Coaster about a week ago and have been overwhelmed with the customization aspect and so just put in a search for some tips and just randomly clicked on one of the selections. Imagine my surprise and glee to find out that the thumbnail I selected is a video that you have posted!!! I just love your videos man. Keep up the great work =)
It's great to hear from someone who joined the channel for Civ 5. That was once the mainstay of my channel but not so much nowadays. I totally understand feeling overwhelmed with the building aspect of Planet Coaster because I felt the same way. It was astounding to me how many different ways there were to use the different pieces to customize a park and I know they've added a lot since I played... at least if you buy DLC. I hope you find my little starter guide useful to get going. A lot of it is just learning the bare basics and then investing the time to try different things. Good luck, I hope the video helps!
Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! In answer to your question, the only voice over work I've ever done is here on the channel.
It's been 7 years since I played so I can't tell you from memory but I skimmed through some of my old videos to see if anything tipped me off. When placing a building, the Shift key looks like it will let you adjust the height so you can try that when editing a building. The other thing I saw when I was adding something to a building was that the left-most icon on its menu (with arrows pointing in a variety of directions) could be clicked and it would bring up similar arrows attached to the object itself. If you click your mouse on one of those arrows, then you'll be dragging the item on that axis. That's the best I can do, I hope this helps!
So my customers are walking up to the counter and clipping through the wall bec i cant seem to get the shop front piece to align flush. Any thoughts? Actually, I cant get any of the pieces to align flush. Update: Pressing ctrl allows you to snap the pieces to the stall.

Good video although genuinely thought I had playback speed on 0.5x 😂
I’m a complete beginner to this now but I cannot seem to get that window panel to fall back so tightly with the building XD
had the same issue , go above the wall or building then use shift to bring it down in place to get it snug . hope this helps
most useful video on this game, by far
Thank you, glad you found it helpful!
