Reeva Payge - All Scenes Powers & Abilities
Reeva Payge was one of the main antagonists on the second season of FOX's The Gifted.
She was the current leader of the Inner Circle, having taken that position when she massacred its members after they voiced their disapproval of her recent actions. She also secretly orchestrated the Purifiers through an alliance with Benedict Ryan. She is later murdered by Reed Strucker, ending the Inner Circle and Purifiers’ warring schemes.
Portrayed by: Grace Byers
Her power is Neurodestabilizing Infrasonic Scream.
Her powers induces spontaneous myoclonus, vestibular destabilization(dizziness, nausea), deactivation of peripheral nerves(unable to move arms and legs), psychosomatic hypoglycemic-like weakness and since she negates peoples nervous system, other mutants cannot activate their powers when she uses her scream on them.
She negates and destabilize her target's nervous system in short.
Her targets die from nervous system failure if she fully maintains her scream.

It's frustrating as to why there are only a few viewers of this series. I actually love this, even more when Blink came from the future. Season 3 could have been awesome. And Reeva's power is cool.

It was canceled because after the last episode, Disney bought Fox so all the rights went to them so they couldn’t make any more episodes under Fox’s name. The show was actually doing great views so I don’t know why he said that.

Sage/ Tessa wasn't a very in depth character on paper.
They never gave Sage any real time to shine on this show.. it was a real shame.. I was watching the show seeing everyone get developed and then I was like.. hang on a minute… the show is forgetting about sage.. I feel like the writers included her into the hellfire club because they didn’t know what to do with her but wanted to keep giving her screen time.. wish they did more with her than just sitting her behind the screens the whole time

Basically a sonic scream. Humans aren’t actually supposed to be able to hear it due to it being so high of a note that it could barely register as a whisper, the scream destabilises and affects brain chemistry which is why her targets clutch their heads.
Reason why the show makes it like that is because it would make it look weird either way if they didn’t, I mean who has ever heard of a silent sonic screamer?

One trick AOE pony. Technically if you know the woman has the power you can prepare for it, then target her voice box. Probably a technological item that cancels noise or distorts noise would mess with her ability. That is saying if you can catch her alone.

@@lkc101 not to mention the fact that reeva is making the noise and that she will eventually run out of breath. She doesn’t know how to fight so mcu scarlet would easily solo her because she’s been trained. Plus her power could solo her without needing to fight. Reeva has a more supportive power. She stuns someone while someone else attacks like shown when the cuckoos shoot up the members of the inner circle. She isn’t able to hold it long enough to cause big time damage and she isn’t good enough in fighting to give her an upper hand. She’d lose to both scarlet witch and jean grey. (Also this is considering she catches them off guard. They could easily shut her up with a simple hand movement or block the sound vibrations from entering their ears with a shield.)

What does her scream actually do to you?
She was arguably good and arguably bad. She wanted to make a safe place for mutants basically but to do this she basically wanted to cast out all humans. Yes she died. And her power is the ability to release a high pitched note that humans cannot hear however the note messes with your vision, motor functions, thoughts, and your powers if you have them. It is lethal if used for long enough such as with Sage and it can actually make people’s powers more dangerous such as with Reed Strucker. She used her ability on him causing his powers to basically go haywire and as a result of her doing this she died when he used them. Though normally her ability prevents you from using your powers at all.
This is worst power ever in superhuman community. Creator had created a history. Well done.

Well her power is basically a silent scream that scrambles the brain. And it can make powers unstable but his powers were already unstable as you can already tell from various scenes when he accidentally burned a steering wheel while driving or when he touched the wall and burned it. But that's besides the point since his powers were already unstable she made them more unstable which caused destruction. Its like when building a Lego house and its shaky well if u pick it up it will n fall apart or break. So technically she could beat the last guy but since he basically exploded she had no chance.
