When I heard Hummer Team's version of Marble Zone I noticed its speed and realized it was the same speed as the unused 8-bit version which was used here!
I'm going to assume this super palette was to make it easier to see, vs the gold / white. but isn't the hyper sonic palette, Green, white, blue, red and gold?

you got a good ear, I used the Sonic 1 master systems version of the unused Marble zone music before it was changed to bridge zone
