I also like that Mystic Force/Magiranger has the ability to combine in way more ways than we see in the series. By using the extra train connectors you can chest swap Wolkaiser and Magiking's chests into it. They also decorated the horse of SaintKaiser in such a way that you can still combine Wolzard into it, with its own "face" design.
I actually own all the Korean Jyuohger stuff (except White Owl, because I missed my shot on that one). They're all very creative repaints; I like them a lot.
The Reason the Bison on the american Gao Knight is because the Bison is motorized so it can simulate walking there are two colors for it Purple the on that came with it and another one in the main color Black

Those Jungle fury vehicle minizords were fun to play with when I was young and now I wish they did the other zords form the series like the Jungle master mode zords and a wolf version of the JP Megazord set

@@silverfoil8854 That Silver Titanus will always be one thing - a mystery. Junko Komura is the writer to Zyuohger, Lupin vs Pat and Zenkaiger a.k.a the seasons with the least amount of toy sales. I say some of her seasons really are the most detrimental to Sentai in the era from Ninninger till Zenkaiger sans Kiramager, seeing how the toy sales would drop drastically. Dunno about viewership though but I feel Donbrothers and King-Ohger did a much better job with pacing and character growth for everyone including the villains. Junko's Sentais aren't very engaging imo to the point where it feels like something trapped in time like you're seeing something from the 90's. Sure, there are some handful of episodes that are good but when it's written by someone who's afraid to step out of their comfort zone, it gets waaay too problematic. Her writing can be too formulaic to the point where it seems like it's MMPR 2.0 all over again. Why people would clamor for MMPR to come back when Zyuohger and Zenkaiger feels like it in terms of writing? You can even show them the shows side by side. There's no difference except for aesthetics and visuals. I honestly wished they brought back the Comedy Fushigi series because I feel Junko does it better as a comedy writer. They bought the zords for building blocks? 0_0 Well, that's one way for bang for buck. Hehehe, I love AVGN.
Can't argue here. I enjoyed Zyuogher and Zenkaiger, can't say anything about the other ones. I always preffered shows that are just fun excuses for characters to interact. Rather than overly long dramatic sad stories.
@@silverfoil8854 Hopefully someone can make a show that has Donbrothers' problematic characters that are still a lot of laughs but a lot of love after Inoue showed them the way. This'll steer Sentai into familiar but something new and refreshing. Boonboomger has already started to knock out home runs with its first 4 episodes. Another problem I have with Junko is that she introduces these exuberant worlds but doesn't seem to expand on them - Zyuohger and Zenkaiger being the 2 culprits and I happen to see that she doesn't write non-human characters well. Look at the Beastman as well as the Zenkainoids when before those shows, Kamen Rider Den-O and Gekiranger can showcase non-human characters being more expressive and have a lot of character driven moments and development without the help of the story being shoved into them. Not to mention, her villains are typed in like Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave and finally Starscream types in the most basic terms possible. Guess them all. Tbh, I do like my characters to learn harsher lessons so they can steel themselves so that others won't go through the same tragic thing while villains will always try to make hell for the heroes either due to them being superior or just plain downright petty.
dude i got the jungle king megazord back when i was a kid, ive just been thinking that toy was a like a dream or something i thought of since i never saw it in the show
When I was a kid and watched Wild Force, and later as an adult when I watched Gaoranger, I absolutely fell in love with the idea of all 100 of the GaoBeasts having the capability of bonding with a human and becoming a warrior hero themselves. Granted some of these look extremely cheap and non-canon, and most recolors probably wouldn't be canon either, neither the legacy items, but some of these are really sweet and I'd love if we actually had more canon expanded universe Sentai things. Skydor would be dope as either Speedor's father, brother or second son. (Maybe even grandson, given Machalcon is married now) As long as the mecha is in theme with the rest of the team, I'd say it would be interesting to see them in some canon capacity.
@@silverfoil8854 That reminds me that in the following years, the SIC line of toys for Kamen Rider would have a lot of seemingly canon content in their little booklets, like some off-screen moments of Decade visiting other worlds or little crossovers. They also had a bunch of video-games with crossover content then. Whoever was in charge at the time probably really wanted synergy in their toy and game lines and the shows. A bit sad they gave up on it, but it is what it is.
Zyuohger is really popularity at Korea. I think reason is educative and easy transform & combine. When other sentais failed in Korea, Zyouhger always saved series survive.(if failed they might be disappear like ultraman series)
Good luck. As much as I want legendary gimmicks to apper in show, I like that withouth it, there is space to headcanon your own powers. I would rather imagine the Legendary Resshash giving ToQgers either full suits based on past sentai (like the Safari resshas) or just their equipment.
I actually have the Jungle King Megazord back when I was a kid. For some reason, they released here in the Philippines. Sadly, the one I owned is now lost to time after I moved houses. However, I've seen some people within Asia also own a copy of it
Maybe it's because I inherited my cousin's Shogun Zords before ever seeing Season 3, but I prefer pink being used instead of white (at least for the American continuity). It's pretty obvious to any kid watching that it matches up better with the Pink Ranger's Crane Zord than Tommy's Falcon Zord, especially since the Falcon Zord could still combine with the Shogun Megazord.
I mean, the Shogunzords were co piloted by both Tommy and Kimberly. I rember once someone headcanoned it as "Its a female like mech, but it has Tommys colours, so it represents them both". But I do wish Pink Shogunzord were mentioned in something. Maybey a idea that it turns pink due to power increase of Shogun Ultrazord. Something, something, too much pink energy. Also Crane Zord was also mostly white, with a red neck, which was made pink for the western toy.

@@silverfoil8854 personally, I also blame Disney when it comes to the choice of the sword release for the not getting the elephant, the tiger, and that combination given the pushback on the whole female ranger subject in the samurai series if you ever heard about that discussion with the whole female lead rangers if you ever heard Power Ranger Super samurai apparently there was massive debate about that being an issue and massive pushback in Disney in the head departments about that being a good thing and then when the idea actually got approved was around the time that Power Rangers super samurai came out.
Just to let y'all know, the basic reason why I got interested in Power Rangers was my love for dinosaurs attracting me to watch Dino Charge. Then several years later, I get heartbroken when I find out I was deprived of seeing more dinos be used in the show. 😢

You accidentally missed several redecos from Dino Charge. Spino Zord in dark teal T-Rex Zord had two in green and yellow (The yellow version included the Spino Zord's back fin weapon) Green Para Zord Purple Pachy Zord Red Raptor Zord Blue Ammonite Zord Black Deinosuchus Zord There was also a version of the Dino Charge Megazord that was entirely gold chrome
All of these aren't treated as new zords. Just different colour variants of past zords, so I don't really count them. There is no remoulding, box just calls them "**** Zord Special edition", there is no new lore about these forms etc.

does the Build-a-Zord Phantom Dino Ranger count? that thing is overwhelmingly confusing and for what is worth, the "dino rage megazord" from dino thunder never happeared as such, granted, it's literally a helmet and an axe from another set away from what did actually appear in the show (the valkasaurus megazord), so by technicality that counts as a toy-only zord, on the PR side

I would have created a Indigo Dino Thunder Ranger and a Silver Dino Thunder Ranger for the Carnozord and Chasmozord, respectively. Cassidy and Devin deserved to be Rangers. The Arctic Pterozord would have been for an Emerald Dino Thunder Ranger.
I mean, the whole point of those zords was that they were controlled mutants, withouth any warriors that tamed them. But you go for it, flex your creativity 😊👍

Wait what about the Arcade zord from Megaforce I know it does get screen time but not an introduction it’s seen in the fight when all the Megaforce zords combine to form the Ultra Gosei Great Megazord you can see it for a few short seconds as the scorpion guy (forgot his name) is destroyed it gets an introduction in the Japanese one I think but not in the US
Datas dosent exist in the west as a character, or even a toy. His place in the Ultrazord was taken by a backpack made out of bicycles for the toy, while in the show the ports just appear out of nowhere. But since there is no western Datas toy, there is nothing to mention in this video. Well, maybey I could have talked about Gosei Jet's jetplane mode.

It's not that they weren't allowed. Bandai just had some weird mindset of "Ogh purple is the colour of bad guys, and bad guys toys don't sell well". So you will notice a trend of Bandai America skipping a lot of Purple zords, rangers etc.
I'd argue the ultimate megazord / gekirintohja did see its use in jungle fury, even if not quite in that combination, as we got the stampede version were its riding the rhinozord in the penultimate episode, just not it on foot.

As someone whose favorite color is green, I actually think the Arctic Pterozord looks really good by itself.
The biggest issue is just the colour clash.
Like the red, blue, silver, teeth for some reason are yellow and they needed to stick green in the middle.

Her writing can be too formulaic to the point where it seems like it's MMPR 2.0 all over again. Why people would clamor for MMPR to come back when Zyuohger and Zenkaiger feels like it in terms of writing? You can even show them the shows side by side. There's no difference except for aesthetics and visuals.
I honestly wished they brought back the Comedy Fushigi series because I feel Junko does it better as a comedy writer.

I enjoyed Zyuogher and Zenkaiger, can't say anything about the other ones. I always preffered shows that are just fun excuses for characters to interact. Rather than overly long dramatic sad stories.
@@silverfoil8854 Hopefully someone can make a show that has Donbrothers' problematic characters that are still a lot of laughs but a lot of love after Inoue showed them the way. This'll steer Sentai into familiar but something new and refreshing.

Another problem I have with Junko is that she introduces these exuberant worlds but doesn't seem to expand on them - Zyuohger and Zenkaiger being the 2 culprits and I happen to see that she doesn't write non-human characters well. Look at the Beastman as well as the Zenkainoids when before those shows, Kamen Rider Den-O and Gekiranger can showcase non-human characters being more expressive and have a lot of character driven moments and development without the help of the story being shoved into them. Not to mention, her villains are typed in like Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave and finally Starscream types in the most basic terms possible. Guess them all.
Tbh, I do like my characters to learn harsher lessons so they can steel themselves so that others won't go through the same tragic thing while villains will always try to make hell for the heroes either due to them being superior or just plain downright petty.
As a Sentai toy fan specifically, this makes me very happy

When I was a kid and watched Wild Force, and later as an adult when I watched Gaoranger, I absolutely fell in love with the idea of all 100 of the GaoBeasts having the capability of bonding with a human and becoming a warrior hero themselves.
Granted some of these look extremely cheap and non-canon, and most recolors probably wouldn't be canon either, neither the legacy items, but some of these are really sweet and I'd love if we actually had more canon expanded universe Sentai things.
Skydor would be dope as either Speedor's father, brother or second son. (Maybe even grandson, given Machalcon is married now)
As long as the mecha is in theme with the rest of the team, I'd say it would be interesting to see them in some canon capacity.
Skydor was promoted alongside the other Engines living in their world. So he probably exists at the same time as Speedor.
@@silverfoil8854 That reminds me that in the following years, the SIC line of toys for Kamen Rider would have a lot of seemingly canon content in their little booklets, like some off-screen moments of Decade visiting other worlds or little crossovers.
They also had a bunch of video-games with crossover content then.
Whoever was in charge at the time probably really wanted synergy in their toy and game lines and the shows. A bit sad they gave up on it, but it is what it is.
Zyuohger is really popularity at Korea.
I think reason is educative and easy transform & combine.
When other sentais failed in Korea, Zyouhger always saved series survive.(if failed they might be disappear like ultraman series)

Maybe it's because I inherited my cousin's Shogun Zords before ever seeing Season 3, but I prefer pink being used instead of white (at least for the American continuity). It's pretty obvious to any kid watching that it matches up better with the Pink Ranger's Crane Zord than Tommy's Falcon Zord, especially since the Falcon Zord could still combine with the Shogun Megazord.
I mean, the Shogunzords were co piloted by both Tommy and Kimberly.
I rember once someone headcanoned it as "Its a female like mech, but it has Tommys colours, so it represents them both".
But I do wish Pink Shogunzord were mentioned in something.

@@silverfoil8854 personally, I also blame Disney when it comes to the choice of the sword release for the not getting the elephant, the tiger, and that combination given the pushback on the whole female ranger subject in the samurai series if you ever heard about that discussion with the whole female lead rangers if you ever heard Power Ranger Super samurai apparently there was massive debate about that being an issue and massive pushback in Disney in the head departments about that being a good thing and then when the idea actually got approved was around the time that Power Rangers super samurai came out.

There was also a version of the Dino Charge Megazord that was entirely gold chrome
All of these aren't treated as new zords.
Just different colour variants of past zords, so I don't really count them.
There is no remoulding, box just calls them "**** Zord Special edition", there is no new lore about these forms etc.

I don't really have any. I like every mech combination. I just love to see how the design grows and changes.
I would have created a Indigo Dino Thunder Ranger and a Silver Dino Thunder Ranger for the Carnozord and Chasmozord, respectively. Cassidy and Devin deserved to be Rangers. The Arctic Pterozord would have been for an Emerald Dino Thunder Ranger.
I mean, the whole point of those zords was that they were controlled mutants, withouth any warriors that tamed them.

Wait what about the Arcade zord from Megaforce I know it does get screen time but not an introduction it’s seen in the fight when all the Megaforce zords combine to form the Ultra Gosei Great Megazord you can see it for a few short seconds as the scorpion guy (forgot his name) is destroyed it gets an introduction in the Japanese one I think but not in the US
Datas dosent exist in the west as a character, or even a toy. His place in the Ultrazord was taken by a backpack made out of bicycles for the toy, while in the show the ports just appear out of nowhere.
But since there is no western Datas toy, there is nothing to mention in this video.
