This clears up a concern I had (I think). I don't record with multi-mic setups. I don't record any instrument simultaneously with any other instrument, including individual drums. If I have a recording of an instrument that has any inherent stereo width to it (which may have been recorded multi-mic), or if it originates from isolated samples, if I apply EQ to that, the entire signal is EQ-ed with a single dedicated stereo EQ (L and R get the same boosts or cuts). Busses are also EQ-ed by a single dedicated EQ.
I would imagine this should minimize any phase smearing issues. Am I right about that?
