I think the reason this is so difficult is not with the premise, but the patterns themselves. Humans can only remember patterns easily up to 7 seperate factors long. The moment that is exceeded, it becomes nigh impossible to remember everything. Couple that with the fact you have to time your inputs perfectly, with no indication of when you should press the notes makes this all the more difficult. It's not like the revamped version gets any better, considering the fact the held notes and jacks sound practically identical, and the animations from Bunzo don't really let you determine if it's a held note or a jack either considering how smooth it is.

This makes it basically impossible because it would be too hard for a human to remember so much information especially considering there’s more than 1 button.
I love this version it feels like it’s got a lot of tension the music just makes it clear and bunzo sounds up beat while the newer one is bland and stale

Yeah like generate random note when you retry or add more note like the game adding color option and add more songs but I think it might take an entire year or more than it to do this

Personally I think it would have made sense if it switched to 9k in the middle of the song because of the extra buttons that come in for the actual game
I memorize it like this “Pink blue blue pink green green pink blue blue blue pink reeed~” And the same for the rest of the song but forget some parts. Like “Pink blue green -pink-“ Than keep messing it up.
