Hey Marty I’m not to sure if you do Spanish songs but if you can do a tutorial how to play la granja from los tigres de norte there is no tutorials I only found to covers of people playing it but it’s to fast even when I slow it down and to far away to see and if I look it up on google it shows me some chords for it but no strumming pattern and how many times to play it so if you can thx🙏
I learned so much in this short video Marty. Its honestly amazing you have a platform to teach younge or new musicians this way, even schools or some professional teachers cant teach me this quickly and proficiently. Keep doing what your doing Marty. I started playig guitar to your channel and i learned so much and have come a long way since then.
it's a bit of a mystery-miracle how a song from '88 recently pops up everywhere i go. synchronicity? thank you marty for providing me a beautiful time machine !
Saw them play this live in Leeds football ground back in 1991 (gulp) and been looking for a decent tutorial since it got played on the radio recently . Fabyydoo :)
Great episode Marty... I’d been thinking of learning this song and then bam 💥 here it is at the top of my recommended page today. Great song to learn for people practising faster chord changes and a beautiful melody to top it off.
Marty, You're a great, patient teacher for sure! I'm no expert, and not super excited about getting bogged down in theory, but I am wondering why things are happening in a song. I can remember the changes, with practice. But it might be nice to hear a little about, "since we're in the key of e it makes sense to go from the G to the C, but you can hear it wants to flow (resolve) back to the A" (just off the top) For me, I have to memorize the patterns, but i don't know why I'm there, so, can't just play and think ," well, since this is a 1-3-5 in A, i could just slide up to here" Sorry, I mean just a little bit snuck in to help, not a ton!!
Great work recently marty, I would like to make a request of only in dreams by weezer there aren't many in depth lessons on it And I know you would do good
Great tune. Perfectly catches that period from the mid 1960s of the gradual transition from folk rock to psychedelia. 😀 Incidentally, very sorry for being ultra picky, but there is a slight variation in that arpeggio'd bit. It sort of changes before the hits on the D chord. Fantastic lesson though. 😀
Marty, can you please do a lesson on two Theory of a Deadman songs? Medicate and the world keeps spinning. I'm trying to figure them out and having trouble. Thanks
Thanks to my Patrons for picking this lesson! If you want a say in what lessons I do next, become a patron here: www.patreon.com/MartyMusic
