You have much respect for the mountains. You hit your knee on your way up and rather than forcing your way on another peak you decide to do what's smart and head down. There are many that don't make the same decision, but you have chosen right.
Just found your channel a couple of days ago and feel like I've been invited into a very exclusive club. You keep things personable and welcoming. I'm impressed how humble you are, yet you are conquering amazing peaks with ease and confidence. Thank you for taking us along on our journeys ❤
Thanks. Great adventure and so well recorded in this video. That ridge line looked fun. Hope your knee recovers quickly. I agree about icing the knee but you ice your whole body!
Pro tip: get some cloth and wrap it around your fuel can and store it upside down with the concave bottom facing up. This leaves room for your mini stove and lighter if you have one. It also prevents rattling while hiking. Silence is golden.
Another great trip Andraž. Gorgeous scenery, no people, interesting ridge (sketchy in that wind), and a nice chilly bath (not for me thanks) to end the day. Excellent video of course. Thanks.
Holy mountain goat! Some of those views from your GoPro or handheld camera made my stomach go to my throat . Sitting in the edge of my seat kind of views. You have great balance!🧗♀️.
I've been walking barefoot for a few years now (last two years in the winter as well) and I agree that there's nothing quite like it. I could feel my own feet as I watched you step on the snow. Good stuff. :) I enjoy your videos a lot. Keep up the good work.
Thank you brother, I really appreciate that! Yeah walking barefoot is the best! I started doing it more frequently this summer and I would recommend it to anyone :)
Each climb is spectacular. I respect all the buildings you stay in,the caretakers and others who keep them up. Know here in the USA, we could never have such nice places like that. Plus, there are no views like the Alps for sure.
What a beautiful view! Wow! You are so lucky to have this available to you. I live in Florida USA and would much rather be in the mountains of Europe. Thanks for sharing 🙏
res rad gledam tvoje videe, ker komentiraš pogoje in svoja razmišljanja o vzponu. izpade res pristno in veliko se naučim. hvala za tvoj trud in hvala ker govoriš v kamero:)
Bivouac IV aka štirica. 50 yrs ago with skis from Rž (Slovenian shibolet, pronounced as rrrrzhzh - think chain saw) at 2100 m down past the bivouac to vrata. Late May I guess
I can feel that sun burning my skin, and the cold water too! My grandfather loved seeing nature on TV in the 70s, what he would have thought of 4k stuff like this...
Awesome video, as usual. I saw all your videos, they're a massive inspiration. And thanks for replying to the many comments and questions we, viewers, send your way. In this regard - and I am also guilty of asking several gear-related questions - would you consider a video (maybe in the future or when the weather is too bad) dedicated to the gear you use? Your clothing (layering system for different conditions), sleeping setup, etc...? It would be much appreciated I think (not only by me:-)) as you seem to have a very practical approach that works out there in the mountains...and we all can learn something useful. Thanks & stay safe!
Hey, Sorry for the late reply. As you already said, I try to reply to every single comment, but on older videos it takes a bit more time since the comments get lost in the comments “drawer”. with that said, I have gotten a ton of gear review requests, so instead of a video I chose to do gear reviews in written form on my patreon. I feel like a gear review video would be long and boring, so I chose to do it in a more simple way. Currently I have done gear reviews for 5 categories, but I plan to add some more detailed reviews (layering & such) in the future. The link is in my bio!
Mountaineering in its original form. No choppers, no mules, no porters, no premade kitchen with tons of supplies, and no fake people faking their way to new heights because they can pay someone to babysit them. These videos are better than anything I’ve seen an Everest.
Thank you brother! I agree. Commercial mountaineering has gotten out of hand… They’re destroying our mountains for all the wrong reasons :( If I ever climb an 8000m peak I’m gonna do it on my own terms, carrying my own gear, and I won’t leave a single piece of trash up there… And if I can’t do that, then I have no business being up there. At least that’s my opinion.
I am thinking how this channel is so much superior to the one in the US that I watch all the time. What gorgeous views, such rugged country. This young man is so much better, so much stronger, a much better climber than the 40 year old man (Luke) I had been watching. I enjoy Luke's overnight trips in rain, wind and snow in the US forests...but this young man is far superior in his skills and strengths. I realize the two of them are out doing different things - one is camping and the other climbing severe angels and heights. Andraz climbs on ridges, and at angles in the snow that I don't know how he hangs on - he is just great. Andraz has fantastic skills and his commentery is great as well. I just came across his videos a couple days ago and today I am seeking out his videos of the past so I can watch more of him.
I can almost smell the ice cold, fresh air on that mountain. Reminds me of when I went to Prague in the winter with the deep snow. I’ll show the grandson your videos and tell him he can do this too. He’s nearly 4… he also knows no fear! X
Epic Climb! I am looking forward to climbing the neighboring Škrlatica next year in summer. Personally I wouldn't wanna do this kind of stuff in winter conditions, but watching someone climb stuff like this in these conditions is really exciting. Kind regards Carsten
Hello, I'm in China. I got some inspiration after watching your videos. I'm also going to make some vlogs about climbing snow mountains alone. Like you, you are welcome to come to China to climb with me.

I just found your channel. What fun! Have you thought about seeking sponsors? I have cousins who are rock climbers & snowboarders here in the US, so they can do what they love doing. Just a suggestion. You should come to Colorado & climb our 14,000 ft above sea level peaks a.k.a 14ers.

this channel is super underrated, consistency of uploads - constant epic views - and the dry (but enjoyed) humor… One of the favorite channels of mine
Thank you, I really appreciate that! 🙏
I discovered it yesterday and I already watched 10 vids. I love it. It will blow up sooner or later.

I found this channel yesterday and already watched 4 or 5 videos. Such a relaxed, down to earth chap. An old style mountaineer.
not joking, your videos are relaxing

I really enjoyed this trip. If we overlook the wind on the ridge, it was perfect weather with excellent snow conditions 😊

Nice vid. Did you have any windows open when you used your stove? Pretty sure that’s not good to do in a small enclosed space like that
I know, I did have a window open, but thanks for looking out for me! 😀

Why always solo? Do you prefer it or just no reliable climbing partners?
I also climb with partners a lot, but I don’t record those ascents.

Mice/rats that I mentioned in the morning :)
Unexpected visitors? Your title was deceiving.
I meant the rats/mice that were partying all night :)
But I get your confusion, I might have to find a better title.
a lil bit of a clickbait title, or, something got cut out for whatever reason
