What an honour for Dreamies! For those who don't know, H.O.T's Candy back in those day really took over the nation, and it lived on as a classic till today after 26 years. Sometimes I do think that without that, we wouldn't have the SM today, neither would we have Dreamies today. Though each debuted 20 years apart, that one song brought them together, so nice to see 😊
south korea wouldn't even be the same without h.o.t, kpop may have existed before them, but they were so successful, other successful 1st gen groups like sechskies and nrg were created specifically to compete with them, and it all resulted in such a craze that the government began actively investing in kpop as a cultural export, and look at where it is now, interest in korean culture as a whole has boomed so much in recent years its affected sectors like tourism and food
