    I love sim racing, have since the first NFS. I'm terrible at it, can't drive for the life of me, but I absolutely love these games. AMS2 is fantastic. If they ever add Portland and Algarve, it'll be 110% for me.

      Mate its so nice to hear i am not the only talentless sim racer knocking about ! I have always had a soft spot for AMS2 due to the unusual content included you just cant find in any other sim. I will add my vote for Portland as well mate.

    It's finally a good driving experience. Been very critical about this sim before even though I had 350 hours in it.
    It had too much aero grip, the cars could magically turn in when adding more steering force under understeer.
    All that is now fixed!

    • @SimRacingJason
      @SimRacingJason  4 дня назад

      This build has been a massive step in the right direction and over driving is now not always the best way to drive the cars now, i also felt understeer was more progressive now which helps with driving with a bit more accuracy.

    It’s a great update, at last I enjoy playing AMS2 and finally after 4.5 years of having this game in my library I’ve broken through 100 hours playtime on steam!
    If they can sort the AI out from struggling to over take each other and stop forming groups of three and four that ride each others bumpers all race and get better at over taking lower class cars in multi class racing this sim will be perfect for offline racing and come January when LFM bring in proper match making it will be perfect online too.

    AMS 2 still can be improved but then can so a lot of things in life, lol, I am always a few seconds behind pro sim racers or the fastest of the bunch, 3-4 seconds a lap, But I just got Thustmaster Loadcell Pedal earlier, Waiting for the delivery, They was 166 pounds, Used-Like New, Says damaged packaging, But saved myself over 40 odd pounds getting the Used-Like New, Thrustmaster Loadcell pedals, I would struggle paying the 209 pounds they is, And if I am getting Used-Like new I am sort of recycling, lol, After getting a refurbished Quest 3 that come like brand new, From Amazon, I thought I will take the jump on paying the 166 pounds for the Thrustmaster Loadcell pedals, And after reading it says damaged packaging, The actual item could be brand new, Fingers crossed, lol, But yeah I do think getting refurbished is a top idea when an item is refurbished to a high standard is like recycling harware, And for me I think if you can and save money on either refurbished or used a tiny bit, It is a great idea, I support refurbished electronics as long as it is done properly with warrantee and Amazon have done that with me, I hate to say this because I do think the High streets do needs shops, But Amazon is a great way of getting used or refurbished items cheaper, I read the Amazon Warehouses got a part where people can go and see item's that got damaged boxes and get things cheaper, After all don't we all grabbing a bargain, lol....
    AMS 2 is a lot better though, And in the week I will have the Thrustmaster Loadcell pedals, I can find out of the loadcell is going to let me be the few seconds faster that I needs to keep up with the Fast sim racers, I ain't far behind now, Almost a thousand hours into AMS 2 so Reiza it is doing something right, I might try Le Mans Ultimate a bit later for a bit, Seeing people mention it and it look OK, I hear LMU is now got VR support so it is worth trying, lol...
    Still though for me with the Quest 3, AMS 2 is my go to sim racing title, Nothing else goes on, I also changed the steering wheel setting in game, And I made it better, I am trying to find a decent video explaining the Force Feedback settings in AMS 2 it self, And what is the best setting for the T300/500 GT-RS wheel I am using, The reason I got the Thrustmaster Loadcell pedals, Is coz they will match with the Thrustmaster T300 GT-RS wheel, Fantastic wheel for the price in my opinion, And on games like Euro Truck it comes up as a T500 not T300, So I think a few improvements is done with the new T300, Made for the PS5 and PC, The PS5 was not out when the T300 come out, lol, Still though Thrustmaster is great budget but still bad ass for the prices, I would tell anyone to get a T300 GT-RS wheel if they can before getting a Logitech unless you is getting the Logitech DD wheel, I hear that is a top wheel the Logitech DD wheel, But the T300 GT-RS is better than the belt Logitech, I will have the enjoyment of learning with a loadcell pedal in the week, Looking forward to seeing if my lap times get any faster, Any guesses, lol....
    Yeah AMS 2 still got room for more and with the Career part still to be filled, Who knows what is in store for a Career mode in AMS 2, Any guesses there too, lol...
    Reiza do listen to the fans, So I can only see AMS 2 improving from here, So can anyone tell me what is going to be the career mode?....

    • @SimRacingJason
      @SimRacingJason  4 дня назад +1

      You are right there is still room for improvement with AMS2 and the devs have been quite open about that themselves so we still have plenty to look forward going into 2025 ! I have not paid much attention to the career mode and what it could possibly be as that's not been a priority of mine.
      As for grabbing that deal for some load cell pedals well done mate and once you have got the muscle memory training sorted as they use pressure rather than travel to gauge how hard you brake your lap times will at least become far more consistent.
      AMS2 was and still is the top sim racing title for VR and its one of the reasons i am looking to get a Quest 3 myself. The VR implementation in LMU is still at a very early stage but once you jump through a couple of steps to get it running its supposed to quite the experience.

      @@SimRacingJason Bro, The Quest 3 is actually mind blowing with the power of VR, Literally can teach you anything, Even surgeons can use VR, Plus the younger generation now got a tool that can be harnessed to be a powerful tool, I read companies are now investing in VR training, And using VR to train the staff, How amazing is that, Bezoz knew what he was doing giving the masses VR, I even read that 3rd world Countries get VR headsets donated to them, Imagine what a VR headset can do for a school that is a hut, Every child born deserves the right to education, The moment you stop schools is the moment your country is doomed, In my opinion, And the Quest 3 is a pretty bad ass tool when connected to a PC, When you get a Quest 3, Get a cable called INIU PCVR charging cable, I have not been able to run the Quest 3 past 60% battery, lol I think the charging cable would give you about 10-12 hours or solid gaming, And an Elite head strap as well, And the Hibloks Defogger that attaches to the headset to stop lenses steaming up, It works too, But yeah AMS 2 and a Quest 3 with a decent PC would be even better, 4k sim racing in VR is the next level, I have not used my TV for sim racing since I started with my Quest 2, I would say you would need a High end PC to be able to bump up the settings on a Quest 2, A Quest 2 would be good then, The Quest 3 is another level again, A Quest 3 and a 4090 would be mind blowing, And I do believe that VR is the future of sim racing, I wouldn't of said that when I got the PSVR years ago, Now though VR is another level again, Even No Mans Sky looks mind blowing, X Rebirth VR is another top space game, Seeing the planets and how big they actually is, Is pretty bad ass again...
      Yeah I agree AMS 2 does VR the best.....

      @@SimRacingJason I only got a 12gb 3060, lol, But on high settings I can do VR pretty good, I would love a 4090 but the price is way past what I can pay, It is what it is, I am great full I even have a PC even if it only an i5 12600k, I got a decent motherboard, MSO Z690 Unify DDR5, And yeah DDR5 on the i5 12600k is better than the DDR4 on the i5 12600k, The DDR5 is just more snappier, Feels more accurate if you can understand that, lol, I will upgrade my GPU, But even then it will be a 16gb 4060, Nothing too flashy, I read that even an i3 14th gen can now do VR gaming with a 20 series GPU, I read the i3 14th gen is actually a nippy CPU for the price point, I will get a new GPU before I do get an i7 14th gen with a K on the end, lol, I was looking at the i9 12th gen, Come down in price, And it is a bad ass CPU, I would love to build another PC from scratch, The amount of different, CPU's, GPU's and Motherboard combinations is mind boggling, MSI Z690 is a pretty decent motherboard, My last MOBO was a Gigabyte H610i, DDR4, So jumping up to a MSI Z690 is a big jump but after doing so, I would only get a decent MOBO from now on, Having the temp, Reset, Bios, CMOS at hand is always a bonus, lol, I managed to get the MSI Z690 Unify on Amazon for 160 pounds in a Back to school deal, Honestly I done enough research to now know Amazon is probably the best way to do a DIY PC, Having it all delivered in one go if you choose, Cheaper than Overclockers, I hate to say it but Amazon is cheaper than Overclockers, Though if Amazon wasn't a thing I would probably go to overclockers for a PC build, But for me Amazon have been amazing, And finding out the refurbished part and used but new section on some items is brilliant....
      The GPU you got is still a decent GPU bro, I have had people telling me to get an AMD instead of a 16gb 4060, But after using the 3060, I am going to stick with nVidia, better the devil you know hey, But people are saying I can get an AMD GPU that would be better for the same price, I might look it up, But for me nVidia is what I know, I only been sim racing a few years so still learning about PC's, Another good thing that have come out of sim racing is learning how a PC goes together, As a result of wanting a better PC, I educated myself with You Tube, Asked a friend as well, But now I know, I can easily put a PC together, If anything goes wrong I can possibly fix the problem myself, Done the same with my BBS02 E-bike, Put it together myself, Now I got an E-bike, That I proper loves now, I actually prefer riding my E-bike than getting in a car now, I gets places faster than if I was driving in traffic, Go through lanes, Parks ect, A car cannot do, But yeah sim racing also made me learn how to get a half decent PC to do sim racing on....
      When I gets the Thrustmaster Load cell pedals, I plan on putting more time into Sim racing, Plus the Winter months coming, Getting Cold here in Wales, lol, After the storm the other day, Wales has gone gloomy an dark, The morning looks like mid afternoon, lol, Was nuts that storm, My Window sill come flying off, Got to ring council coz I live on a top floor flat, lol, I could even get silicon stuff and try put the sill on myself, lol, Again You Tube can show me how, lol....
      But yeah I plan on spending more time on AMS 2 when I get the Loadcell pedals, I hear it is like learning it all over again, Happy days, lol, after changing the Force Feedback on AMS 2 since the update, I made it a lot better, So my advice is to actually play with the Force feedback settings in AMS 2, I did and now AMS 2 FFB is worlds better....
      Happy sim racing though, Good luck on your PC upgrades, I wish you a Pre-Release 5090 in the post, lol, I think Gamers Nexus had one sent out, A 5090 sent out to you, You know you is doing well when you can bring down NZXT for what looks like a Scam, Renting a PC through FLEX, Have you seen the vids?, Interesting, But renting a PC is a bad idea in so many ways....
      Watch Gamers Nexus if you not heard about it, Coz it do need to be raised how many people get scammed with subscriptions or renting things....
      Happy sim racing though bro, When I get some Music off my Uncle, He is a top producer, Dropping me some beats for a channel, I am going to start uploading a few vids here an there, To explain why Sim racing have helps my mental health issues as well, So watch this space, lol...
      Sat safe yeah, Peace.....

    Reiza have improved it in all areas, but it still feels too easy to drive. I’ve spent 3 years on and off trying to match or beat Stefan Bellof’s 6.11 around Nordschleife in The Porsche Group C. In AMS2 I did it on my second lap with default setup and went on to go sub 6 mins. Even with the reset leaderboard times there are several sub 6 min times and the whole first page is below the 6:11 world record. The reward for overdriving has been reduced but still a thing as is abusing curbs.

    • @SimRacingJason
      @SimRacingJason  4 дня назад +3

      I don't mind having a slightly easier time when sim racing now and then especially when i just want to kick back and have some fun against the AI, but i can see that being harder to ride the limit would make this title more rewarding and as much v1.6 does help with that i do mention that there is not a big enough punishment for over driving on the lap times although i do think abusing some of the bigger curbs are far more tricky with this new build. As always there is room for improvement going forward and i feel the dev team are away of that.
