Now with those bearing barrel attachments it might be that they will work with flywheelers and give them the same kind of accuracy. There are also some AEGs (or motorised springers) coming from China that can hit 150 FPS (for now). There are still ways to improve foam blasters.
A Nerf blaster doesn't have 1000 shots in the mag though. So while you might blow your load in a second or two with a flywheel blaster, a gel blaster will keep on shooting.

300fps nerfs are definately illegal in china, where everything above 1.8J/cm^2 is illegal, and gel is kinda in the gray, in which GBB gel blasters are illegal and electric gel blasters are barely legal.

Maybe it's the less hassle to worry about cleaning them up, and very cheap ammo?
@@BradleyPhillipsYT yea that very well could be it. I do have a special target that catches airsoft bbs behind it so the cleanup for that isn’t bad at all. My girlfriend also doesn’t get as mad at me shooting her with a gel blaster compared to airsoft. Beings my gel blaster only has like 260 fps compared to my 430 fps airsoft 😂
@@CamoDC4L gel ball is capable of shooting the same velocities as Airsoft, just a lot of the USA releases are targeted at lower velocity users who don't want to play Airsoft. I think they also don't hurt as much since they compress on impact.
If they shoot the same fps wont nerf have an advantage as they are about 5x heavier and shooting at the same velocity would have 5x more inertia
License for a gel blaster? Wow... that's crazy even as for UK standards.
What's missing from this video is discussion of the loss of energy over increasing distances as well as how it FEELS to receive an impact.
It definitely hurts more to be hit by an individual Nerf dart, being full autoed at close range with gel ball can hurt similarly but in a different way. As for loss of energy over distance, gel balls tend to lose their energy much faster than Nerf do.
Are those darts Worker Gen. 3? If so, how do they hold up? And how do they compare to DZP darts in terms of durability?
I have Gen. 2 darts, but they fall apart every time I use them, I even tried gluing them, but with no success. For the same price I can buy 100 DZP darts or 200 Worker Gen 3 darts, which should I choose?
Thank You very much for help
These are called Worker Gen 2 HE (high end) and I find they're better than DZP.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT Thanks!
I'm annoyed now because gel blasters are illegal in Western Australia (not sure about over East). Would have liked to have gotten one even for backyard use only.
Can you make a comparison between gel blaster and airsoft
Nope, Airsoft is illegal here.
This is how i used to argue with my 12 year old fellas whenever some one got a toygun
What is the gel blaster that your using in this video
Where did you get the gel blaster from
What is that gel blaster non modded? And what are all the mods to it
i watch these videos just to look at the realistic looking gel blasters.. i buy the cheap ones like the m416 and they are hecka fun..
I always thought gelblasters are the same as airsoft. What's the difference?
Airsoft shoots a 6mm plastic BB. Gel balls are 7mm hydrated Orbeez.
In Malaysia even a brightly coloured blaster was labelled a "firearm" amongst the blacked out gel blasters 🤦🏻♂️
Betul tu.Best klau ada sukan airsoft atau blaster kat Malaysia
Great vid Brad, being in Vic has taken me off gel blasters and into Nerf but now feel free to plink at home with Rival and dart blasters, biggest downside between gel blasters and dart or Rival is picking up the ammo especially Rival they bounce everywhere, have made up special backstops with hanging towels to absorb the bounce, seems to work well.
Keep up the dart blaster vids, really enjoy them.
One thing though if we order these blasters from OS, will customs seize them like gel blasters?
It's hit or miss whether customs seize a Nerf blaster, but realistic looking ones seem to be their main focus.
As someone from America it boggles my mind that either of these things is banned anywhere. God Bless America!
where can I buy a powerful Gel Blaster ?
anyone know what the link for the gel blaster is
Fantastic Brad👍
What is the name of that Gel blaster?.
It's a custom M4
300fps nerfs are definately illegal in china, where everything above 1.8J/cm^2 is illegal, and gel is kinda in the gray, in which GBB gel blasters are illegal and electric gel blasters are barely legal.
but, no, gel blasters are not totally illegal in China, but airsoft and GBBs or anything above 1.8J/cm^2 is
Where can I find that gel blaster
where’s the gel blaster from?
Good job on the comparison.
Airsoft is illegal in Australia?
Sure is
here we have the zwq 100 and over here we have a gel blaster lol
if you aimed the gel blaster like the nerf gun maybe it would shoot more accurate
can someone send me a link to the gel blaster he used in the video?
iv done a 75 metre shot and tagged a player. massive fluke of a shot and the blaster was on a 45 degree angle
Nice one. Repeatability is what we're going for though in this particular test.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT hey, so. iv repeated the 75 metre shot about ten times. it took a year but I did it
make A Video On How Strong Is Nylon Gel blaster
where did you get the gel blaster
I got it from GBU but I would not recommend them
It is now legal in Singapore.
The gel blaster is better bc u just have so much more fire rate and u can just spray until u hit them
Yeah...If the guy hears that loud pop he just has to start moving and it's a miss.
Why would you not test the gel blaster in semi to get a real comparison?
Because they're never used in semi
Don't you have paintball in SA too?
Do have paintball but it's super expensive in comparison
And comes under the same exact licensing as gel ball does
@@BradleyPhillipsYT why no link to the gel blaster?
Should I get the Worker Swift or the ZWQ S100?
They're basically the same thing in my opinion
@@BradleyPhillipsYT alright thank you 👍🏻
New Southpark about airsoft .....So good
Saw that, was a good representation of Airsoft
Why is airsoft illegal?
Great video!
In Ohio, USA we have nothing for Nerf around me minus some kids stuff at party centers. I cannot seem to find anything for Gel Blasters either. Everything is Airsoft here. Which sucks. I enjoy small nerf wars in the yard with my kid. Wouldn't mind having something bigger to justify a build.
someone needs to do this but with airsoft instead of gel ball id want to see that
Meanwhile in poland 🇵🇱 “no age requirements for nerf, gelsoft, airsoft and not much other restrictions”
Hopefully you won't need a license for either one in the future
Some of these laws regarding toys do seem silly, as well as using the metric system 🤣
What's funny is the US already does use the metric system for anything science related, plus the definition of what your freedom units are use a metric calculation or object to determine.
What is wrong with metric system? The whole world uses it for a reason, it's just the best way to measure things really
Good test,my friend.Hope you can love our design.
Great break down...science! Lol
I wish I had a gel blaster
I’m usually pro Australia but air soft being illegal is completely idiotic
Don’t aim up with the gel blasters
Then they won't go as far
in my country malaysia, nerf is more expensive then decent cheaper gel blaster... we call nerf as "expensive rich baby with beard toy"
Can't get both of them plus not a bullpup so no thanks
That's pretty cool. But I hope you guys take back your rights someday
Gel is better and Drones or Kwads are better than both
Yeah picking up the nerf darts is a no go for me I’ll stick to Airsoft
Yeah Airsoft is illegal in Australia otherwise we'd play that instead
It’s laughable and sad that QLD is the only state in Australia that sees gel blasters as a toy and not a firearm, when I was 10 you could buy a cap gun from the shops and now they must be registered as a firearm, it is an actual joke.
Wow that nerf sniper is powerful
Poor Australia! Come to the US to lawfully use guns lol
