Apple: "We removed the power brick and headphones to reduce e-waste!" Also Apple: "Throw your old phones away after 3 years when they're no longer supported!"
How the hell have Apple not been hit with an anti-competitive judgement yet? EVERYTHING they do is anti-competitive, from using properietary interfaces that no-one else uses so they can charge a license to 3rd party cable manufacturers, to not allowing 3rd party repair companies to buy components from the same suppliers and restricting access to schematic diagrams (although lots of companies do this), to only allowing their operating system to be used on their hardware, to purposefully breaking functionality in their devices to force customers to upgrade, to restricting the parts you can use to repair devices so that the only possible path to repair is from Apple themselves, although, when you go to the "genius bar" it's only manned by sales people so they're not interested in repairing your device, only selling you a replacement. Louis Rossman's channel is full of videos of customer's devices which they were told were irretrievable by Apple or were quoted a repair price which would have made the repair more expensive than just buying a replacement. How do they keep getting away with it? I guess they're definitely bribing the right people. 9:55 Yes! That's EXACTLY what Apple want you to do.
Yup! Very shameful move by Apple. They want you to use their genuine replacement burning a big hole in your pocket. And bcos of Apple design most high end devices no lw are using built-in batteries that requires more money for replacement. More fragile devices means more sales for them thus giving good impression to their investors! As for me I don't go with the flow, still opting for removable batteries. 😄
It's amazing how professional you are at your age... Anyway, what's shocking with Apple, is the fact that people keep buying that expensive e-waste junk.
The only non Apple repair shop that can use OEM screens and batteries with all Apple software like RepairCal and AST2 are UBIF stores, and UBIF are the only Google and Samsung repair shop at least here in WNY. also apple:don't do diy repair just throw it in the trashh...
All this anti repair and programming serial numbers of parts to the motherboard and if you swap them out yourself lose device functionality is why we don't buy Apple products
Will using the different camera module affect the quality of the camera? (Since the new module is probably not from apple)
I was wondering that
They took one from a fully functional iPhone 11 and sold it. So it’d be the same.
Hugh i bought mine used a week ago with 87 % battery life and still holds more than a day, love the cameras and the matte back glass finish, the only bad thing is the bottom speaker, sounds muffled and will get it replaced all in all im in love with it :D
Ive never bought apple products and never will even I can afford them. I was just about to buy the 12 Pro for filming but thanks to your video I changed my mind. I fix my own phones at home better than repair shops and like to keep it that way.
“How to eat the consumer’s money.”
Damn, just use weird screws all over and if that's not working, just glue it.
Reporter: what inspired you
Apple: money
Geezzz... This would be my 1st and last phone from apple.
The space gray iPhone 11 Pro is sooo beautiful!
He's the only person I can trust with my phone... If Hugh Jeffreys is not gonna fix my phone, no one's going to.
Hii merida
I’m starting to realize apple is more greedy and greedy
better late then never
why do you think they are the richest company in the world....
Now I truly know, people are oblivious
Welcome to the Apple ecosystem
@Ellis The DJ ok
Hearing 64gb after seeing the $1100 price made me literally laugh, it's just sad
they literally spend all budget on processor
If you ask me I love how Apple doesn’t compare and is in there own universe and how they keep all they’re parts within themselves
Really relaxing to watch these videos
Try fixing like the samsung z flip or the "impossible motorola razr"
Is that a damaged zflip I see?
I was wondering why no one was talking about it..
Sb Explain?

@@TVEE yeah... I just don't understand your comment lmao
Nowadays apple do this to get a little bit more money from the consumer (buyer) and they don't let us do this easy repairs anymore and the worst thing is you pay 1900 AU$ for the phone indeed and they even want to get an extra money from you like they have no money! But they have money, a lot of money... Your videos are the best Hugh. Greetings from Portugal!
Pairing the Face ID modules makes some sense since all data is encrypted on device. But pairing the battery and screen panel itself is just ridiculous.
This video is just makes me never want to switch to apple.
I can tell you’re clumsy and like to break stuff

Plot twist: iPhone 12 is DIY unfixable and everyone switches to android
You were right. It isn't.
@@mikhaillunin3478 it isn't what?
@@an-zw5he Iphone 12 is DIY unfixable, check this guy recent video on his attempt to switch components between two iphone 12s. Whether everyone switches to Android remains to be seen.
9:55 Yes! That's EXACTLY what Apple want you to do.
simple install android 10 on it
I love DIY projects
Keep working man
And let Apple keeps showing messages
It doesn't matter when everything works as they should
Jeffrey your the best at what you do!
Please excuse me while I use 12 different tools to open up my iPhone
I only use 4-6
Reasons not to buy iPhone.
1 They are expensive
2 They are not long lasting
You’re so lucky. Even if you purchase a phone and it wasn’t working and they don’t accept refunds, you can just fix it
It is amazing that you can fix this stuff without breaking it
im not a technician but hooked up with your vids❤️😁
Great job Hugh !
It's amazing how professional you are at your age... Anyway, what's shocking with Apple, is the fact that people keep buying that expensive e-waste junk.
It honestly surprises me that Apple hasn't started simply bricking phones until you get a 'genuine repair'.
The only non Apple repair shop that can use OEM screens and batteries with all Apple software like RepairCal and AST2 are UBIF stores, and UBIF are the only Google and Samsung repair shop at least here in WNY. But I do hate that when using 3rd party screens now with the 11 and higher they have that screen notification. But gotta love being a repair tech though, best job ever
I subbed man you’ve helped a lot and now I’m super interested in fixing iPhones
I’ve had iPhones since the iPhone 4, love them. Any time I’ve ever needed a repair I’ve always had Apple do the repair. Never had a problem, buy AppleCare and don’t have to worry about anything.
Didn’t realise you were in Australia Hugh. Subbed 👌👌
