And the same limit range from players (as of now you can only grapple towards people with the limitation in range.) the stun one can also work like "Tail whip" whatsoever. Making her an actual SURVIVALIST. Rather than "Run and hide" like an "scaredy cat"... Get it? Haha.. just kidding.. Edit 1 : If the 'Tail whip' could stun twisteds, It will only exclude Mains. Since they're too strong, also have a 50/50 of blocking an range attack ONCE. (Per floor, works on T-Goob and scraps, after blocking their attacks. You cannot block it again, but can stun before they can do their special abilities again.)
Oh! The irony of this video! Scraps is my favorite toon, actually, I think I've played her more than any other toon during my times of getting to floor 30 and above. I agree with the points said in this video, because honestly, losing your entire means of speed and traversing the map by losing everyone in your team as the survivalist toon is depressing. One could argue that the survivalist part implies that she is selfish in allowing herself to survive longer than the other toons, but at the point where you're on floor 24 and you are the sole surviving member on the team, you're pitifully slow and you can't even outsprint toodles or pebble which become major threats and very common on higher floors. You are doomed to die the moment you get anything substantially challenging. In actuality, she's only the survivalist in the first burst of floors where teammates can assist her for her lack of speed, which seems almost redundant considering how Teagan and Glisten still find use out of their own specialties (Glisten being his extraction speed and general speed allowing him to at least still survive major threats if you're careful) despite being in the same category. I think this point should be highlighted the most, the whole point of the game is to get to higher floors in whatever way you want, but she specifically gets a setback she cannot negate or do anything about, meaning you play the game on a higher difficulty as just a slightly better shrimpo.
Yeah, addition once your teammates gone or less team will be here your skill isnt effective anymore since you camt find any teammates to grab. Feel bad for scraps, survivalist in the end scraps cant survive without her teammates

Literally the only reason I ever played Scraps was so I could master every toon in the game. After mastering every toon, I can confidently say she is the most boring toon to play, I even enjoyed mastering Shrimpo more then her.
Scraps is my fav but I do agree, I just like playing as her as she has a somewhat useful ability to escape mains. Suppose ur getting chased by vee and then u just use ur grapple to go to another toon to escape. Its really good. But shrimpo is a challenging toon
imo scraps is just a toon thats an obstacle to get a better toon, being goob. They do mention that scraps and goob cant extract well because of their claws, so to make her useful give her better movement OR a nicer ability that doesnt rely on teammates? like 5* stamina doesnt help that the fact that she has 2* movement so you cant run far without using a ton. And the ability only works if theres someone in your line of sight

Scraps is ok if you have the good trinkets, I had pink box and dog plush to make up for her movement speed, It worked and used her stamina well, sure you can't do It for long, but you can make It work
Toodles also fall in the same ballpit, however she's better at surviving at Scraps lmao And I also just say it: Giving an Toon (who's BEST SUITED FOR NEW PLAYERS) one of the lowest stats that beginners know how it works (Extraction) and a high stat on where no new player understands about it (Stealth) is just outright Evil.
You know literally the only change Scraps needs to not be so awful? Take a star out of stamina, and put it in movement speed. Boom, suddenly she can survive. She's still mediocre obviously, but that 2* movement speed is just the nail in the coffin. Her ability does also desperately need to be changed.

I feel like it would be so cool if she was extractor and survivalist, because then shoe could do a duo with goob to make all four roles: Distractor, Extractor, Supporter and Survivalist.
Her ability needs a total CHANGE. So i have an idea, this new ability makes scraps has permanent hearts that maxes at nine in total. Everytime the hearts get broken, she will gain a speed boost for 5 seconds while making the twisteds stunned longer. The hearts need to be regenerate back overtime like 1 minute. Do know she also has to start with 2 hearts to balance it a bit. Also here's a stat change for her too. Skill check:⭐⭐ Movement speed:⭐⭐⭐ Stamina:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stealth:⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extraction speed:⭐ I made the stats related to actual cats and kept the 5 star stamina while making it more of a survival side
I can agree, its pretty sad how scraps is just a character for an other character mainly shes useless and contributes like nothing to the team. And her ability completely sucks having to rely on a teamate to be near to save yourself, and shes just a WORSER character than glisten, which came out after her. And her trinket is even worser than finns. Finns twisted form is an uncommon while scraps is a rare yet worser trinket and character. Scraps needs a rework or something because nearly NO ONE plays her unless for goob or mastery.
That idea is awesome! To not make her so op, the stun from the tail strike could be around 5 seconds, which is not too much but enough to escape in emergencies.
I would think like giving her 3 or even 4 star movement speed because it makes more sense for a cat to be fast and then she can actually have a role in the team ( distractor )

Maybe you should nerf that stamina for sure because 4* extraction speed is too much for a toon like scraps, so, 4*-3* stamina can be a good replacement here
Scraps is honestly the cosmo to sprout, a character used and sole purpose is to unlock another character. I dont disagree with anything, but in terms of what else to gain from her? Goob. Her stats suck, but i guess her only grapple skill works a enough balance for a useless character (also before the term distractor is high survivalbility rate so im expecting Scraps is the opposite for Goob in that sense)
But unlike her, Cosmo isn't useless and can actually be good on a team or solo run, toodles also comes under the category of characters whose sole purpose is to unlock another character, she isn't the best but not the worst either, she's pretty mid but isn't useless as well. A better analogy would have been "Scraps is the toodles to pebble" Cosmo is actually a very good toon and you can take advantage of his ability. Giving all the heals to Cosmo is tecnhically keeping your whole team alive.
toodles to pebble would work, cosmo is helpful if you dont have a sprout in your team and toodles is not that helpful but has average stats just the 4* stealth and an ability that barely does anything
As one of the people who uses Scraps aside from Tisha and Glisten, i can balance her pretty well! i mean, her extraction sucks but i can play her pretty good if my lag doesn't intervene. She has a survivalist role but i made her an extractor, the trinkets i use for her is Dog Plush and Magnifying Glass since i don't have participation award yet.
Making her an extractor with the use of trinkets doesn't give her any more value lol. She should be able to be worthy by herself, without adding anything to compensate her weaknesses
Ok, but I recommend you most of the time Pink Bow, it is very useful, and it is even more useful for toons with 3*-2* movement speed like Scraps. Like bruh, Dog plush is overrated as hell.

Scraps is the very definition of a gate keep character. They made her only purpose as a challenge in order to get Goob, a much more reliable and amazing toon, when they had the very opportunity to make her just as good.
Omg, I was just talking about her with my little sister yesterday We both agreed that she needs a desperate stat spread change and both agreed she should be the polar opposite of her little brother, low stamina and movement speed for high stealth and extraction speed (I also just feel like her having high stealth just makes sense, she is very cat like after all) The stat spread I have in mind for her would actually be still unique to her because I just checked each toons stat spread and none of them excel at both extraction and stealth (if anything, characters with good extraction speed tend to be notorious for having terrible stealth)
I think they purposely made scraps seem like a helpless sibling that Goob has to protect. One of her voicelines after finishing a machine is quite literally “Goob would be so proud!” Insisting that Goob sees her as too helpless to complete a machine on her own, or that scraps even sees herself as helpless. Her ability is reliant on others, while goobs ability is to help others. I’m not sure why they made her this way, to seem like a burden to her own brother and to other toons. Hopefully they buff her in the future.

Imo I see her as an actually playable challenge character. Not many people can manage with shrimpo as a challenge and scraps is my favorite character to play as because I have all mastery so I don’t have much goals in dandy’s world recently.
i just feel like scraps is also meant to be an opposite to goob, she can pull herself in to other toons and goob can pull toons in to him, like sprout and teagen with sprout healing others and teagen only healing themselves like a compare contrast sort of way if you understand. bit of a crude way to have a toon just to be an opposite of someone else ability wise. but i like playing as scraps as a way to not do things as fast, she kinda of a favorite of mine ngl

I made an idea for scraps a while ago. Stats: 4 star skill check 4 star movement speed 4 star stealth 1 star stamina(Yes, I changed it from five to one.) 2 star extraction speed Since she’s supposed to be more of a survival toon, her stars from stealth could be given to her stamina, or she just relies on her ability to get around, and your idea is great!

I kinda wish both scraps and goob has another function to their abilities that doesn't have to do with other toons. Like their abilities just get worse the more teamates that die and if you're alone literally an entire half of the toon functionality is gone. My idea was to make scraps be able to pull herself to machines and goob able to pick up items from far away. Also no way glisten ability is better in everyway considering scraps ability has 3-4 times less cooldown
Her stats on release was actually good because back then Skill Check didn't have a value for how much it added to the machine, it was only on how wide the bar was and the frequency of Skill Checks. Lower Skill Check stat = more skill checks. So she was actually great with 2* Skill Check being there as it made her frequency of Skill Check really high and you could run Magnifying Glass on her. Unfortunately with the release of Glisten and Shelly updates where Skill Check was reworked, she never got a rework to her stats only a buff on to make her more balanced. So she got outclassed by Glisten that can teleport thru walls while she needs line of sight, she suffered the most with all the updates.
Maybe a rework of craps' ability could help - Her tail can target either a twisted, player or wall/machine (object basically). If she uses her tails on a twisted it will stun the twisted for 4 seconds (don't know how long it should stun for and the cooldown would be 60 seconds maybe?) and to balance it out she would go to that twisted (could be useful for twisteds camping paths during the panic timer) and if if used on a player/wall she will be pulled to it with a 20 second cooldown (change cooldown if needed). I know this sounds like she has 2 abilities, but she only has 1 what changes use depending on what it's used for (same with cooldown) For her stats, They can stay the same regarding how op the ability is, if anything I would take a star of stamina and put it on movement.
I do sometimes see a lot of scrap players when it comes with game rounds. The every time I ever see players with scraps is they either use her to escape to the elevator or to escape twisted
the fact goob is a distractor and can naturally extract without an issue just shows how useless scraps is since none of her stats actually fit for anything besides surviving, i genuinely expected her buff to be within the stats and not the cooldown.
No because this is true. I'm not even someone nitpicky about balancing and can even have fun playing R&D despite many saying they're boring to play as but I genuinely hated playing Scraps when I was trying to get Goob. P.S I was playing her before Glisten was released so I couldn't even compare her to Glisten. I found the tail mechanic really finicky and I thought at first it would be primed for gaining lots of distance when getting chased by a toon but not even that works because I usually couldn't find a toon or when I did, it ran the risk of them gaining chase instead of me. Using it to traverse generally relied on people being there for it to work so I ended up just using her ability to get to the elevator and sparing a few seconds. And everything you said about stats is true. She's just eh.
Yeah i know but when you have another finger on virtual joystick for movement it starts teleport between 2 fingers like crazy (i once teleported behind someone as glisten and healed wrong person as cosmo)
This isn't much of a problem unless you're being chased, but doing that takes less than a second, so chances are, you aren't gonna get hit during that time period.
I haven’t played the game but with my knowledge of game design scraps is supposed to be a ‘stepping stone’ toon or a toon that only exists to be played for someone to unlock a better toon, every game has a stepping stone character that basically has no function but only to be tedious enough that people would want to get rid of them as soon as possible
I love Scraps. She's my favorite Toon. And I looked at her wiki, and thought 'survivalist' just meant jack of all trades, but I was so wrong. I'm currently saving for her. Will I stop? No! But am I upset about how bad she is? Yes. What I think should happen with her, and this could just be me being the best at extracting and loving Scraps, she should be an extractor. It'd make her and Goob an actually viable team (Something plenty of people prolly wanna do!), it'd make her actually good, and, again, she'd be the pb to Goobs j.

Once I was in a normal run with friends, and we got to around floor 20. There were Shrimpo, Cosmo, Poppy, Boxten, Tisha and Vee as Twisteds (I think) and everyone else died at 3/8 machines done. I finished all 5 of the rest and survived all of it. And the twist? I was playing as Scraps. I think she's pretty good for a challenge myself, and one of my friends even mains her.
Tbh i really like how her brother is so quick, and i hope her stats change to being a bit faster, too. Since like, she's like a cat, she could be really quick and/or be really stealthy, they'd be pretty neat to improve upon.
yknow, now that I think about it... TOODLES sucks TOO. Like alot. Her active is trash and luck based, so even if you get what you want, its only a little amount for a couple of seconds. Not to mention she would be HORRIBLE at distracting due to her 4 star stealth, which makes it hard to distract in high floors where you need space to distract. Plus, her 2 star extraction is not really helping the stat pool....
Hiya! I actually main scraps (because i think she's silly to play) and you bring up some amazing points and questions. Personally, I play her as an extractor who can take chase if for example Pebble or Tisha or any other 3-star stealth distractor is in a bit of a pickle and needs to regen stamina or something. Then scraps could use her ability to quickly get to the situation and temporarily take chase by using her amazing stamina :D (but yeah no she's really bad right now, anyone please give her a rework or some immense buffs 🙏) (also trinkets I use are nightcap and gachapon/pink bow/crayon set since those can work surprisingly well for her sometimes, if anyone wants to try her out)

Oh my gosh a Tail Strike as a replacement for Scraps’s ability is perfect. Then she would truly be a SURVIVALIST. Maybe she could even help defend Toons that are being chased down by Twisteds to save them a heart with the click of a button.
I feel like scrap could be a really cool starter toon, maybe only 500 ichor, they could make it so scraps tail would give big buffs to whoever it latches on to making more experienced players want to carry her, this could be a cool way to help less experienced players live longer and help with team work!
I remember once I was playing as Tisha or Toodles I can’t remember. I was getting chased and a scraps had grappled onto me and took the twisted away from me. She was the reason why I survived that round :)
Glisten also has a sort of saviour dynamic because if they are a real G they can teleport to you if you are being chased at low stamina with a low speed toon, and if they have a dog plush they could distract that twisted long enough for the other toon to regain stamina
Other option could be to make her ability give stat boosts to those who are on the receiving end, this would require a cooldown increase but would make her better, as she would become a supporter. Cause of her high stealth she can just go in, boost the distractor, then go out unharmed, or even boost someone extracting, like Astro and Shelly respectively. And then at last just make her extraction two stars and the leftovers goes to movement speed, she is a fricking paper cat! With this she could be a great supporter that dosnt need help surviving in case she is being chased
i mean in my opinion i think shes considered a survivalist in a team setting because of her stamina, even though shes slow, she can get out of a twisteds line of sight with the right trinkets, her ability also allows her to grapple onto a person in the elevator if theres not enough time to run there.
This is why I try to make Restats for toons I deem as ‘Underperforming’, not that I’ll ever be able to do anything like that anyways…. When grappling to a twisted she stuns for 2 seconds, making the twisted lose sight of any toon so she doesn't take damage.』 〔Cooldown - 40〕 〔Abil stats:〕 【0.5 seconds to reach the grapled toon//object\\twisted】 (This makes that scraps doesn't need a team to be a good toon, and she can even support by stunning the twisted and then hiding! Also a highter cooldown cuz she'd be a bit too overwhelming if it was too low.)
I thought it would be nice to make Scraps an extractor. Give her basically no movement speed and stamina like Rodger, but super high skill check and extraction speed. Then, make her ability into an actual escape tool. Now she can serve the purpose of being a toon that can get machines done fast and pull herself out of danger when the need arises. Also, I’m not sure if she has this or not, but if she doesn’t give her invincibility frames during her grapple. Then she can act as an opposite to Goob
4:09 on the topic of stunning I believe that if they do add a stun ability, there should be a risk reward aspect if you miss, or requirements need to be met like a window for the stun or a trap
When i was trying to play as scraps, I used her mainly as a partial distractor role when its convenient. If i saw someone with high stealth being chased (astro, toodles, boxten, poppy...), I use my tail whip to snap myself towards them to take aggro from them and drive the twisteds far from extraction machines. Its only useful for early floors but not against mains sadly. if her extraction speed was average instead of 2*, I'd fully optimize her as an extractor.
As a Scraps Main. Even thought she has good stats to make her survive. She still needs to depend on teammates to pull through (mainly because of her ability, but you can easily role through things with her without it). Sometimes when I’m in a pinch(out of stamina) while running from a twisted, the ability saves me with ease(most of the time). Yet it’s such a specific use for her, that’s why not many people play her, and people just want Goob. I feel bad for her honestly. She’s really good in team games(not for extracting, but for managing to keep her health longer than the rest), once alone, she’s not as good, but you can still make it pretty far.
Lets not forget that her ability could also not work properly if the player target is constantly moving, if the player walks off range or moves behind a prop the second you use the ability, you just get stuck in place for some seconds, getting you easly killed in the process
2:27 this is actually something i hate the most about scraps player, especially when im using brightney since im brightney main, and then my gameplay is laggy asf, but i used to be a scraps main too, but i only use her ability when panic mode and yeah tbh using scraps is fun
Scraps is okay at surviving and extracting for me as she has decent stealth and an escaping ability. For example, in my experience, I was extracting as Scraps, and Twisted Vee was chasing the heck out of Glisten. Most importantly, Vee passed me TWICE with me in her sight, and yes, she was still chasing Glisten. And even if the Twisteds were camping the elevator, she could use her ability. Therefore, she is not good but fair, you only need to master your ability to escape and survive.

3:57 This is the best part, and I can agree. Her tail can lock on people like a sticky toy. This should work with walls and objects but not everywhere. And the same limit range from players (as of now you can only grapple towards people with the limitation in range.) the stun one can also work like "Tail whip" whatsoever. Making her an actual SURVIVALIST. Rather than "Run and hide" like an "scaredy cat"... Get it? Haha.. just kidding..
Edit 1 : If the 'Tail whip' could stun twisteds, It will only exclude Mains. Since they're too strong, also have a 50/50 of blocking an range attack ONCE. (Per floor, works on T-Goob and scraps, after blocking their attacks. You cannot block it again, but can stun before they can do their special abilities again.)
Personally I like the stun idea more than the first one. It's a unique ability that would make people actually want to play her.

Oh! The irony of this video! Scraps is my favorite toon, actually, I think I've played her more than any other toon during my times of getting to floor 30 and above. I agree with the points said in this video, because honestly, losing your entire means of speed and traversing the map by losing everyone in your team as the survivalist toon is depressing.
One could argue that the survivalist part implies that she is selfish in allowing herself to survive longer than the other toons, but at the point where you're on floor 24 and you are the sole surviving member on the team, you're pitifully slow and you can't even outsprint toodles or pebble which become major threats and very common on higher floors. You are doomed to die the moment you get anything substantially challenging. In actuality, she's only the survivalist in the first burst of floors where teammates can assist her for her lack of speed, which seems almost redundant considering how Teagan and Glisten still find use out of their own specialties (Glisten being his extraction speed and general speed allowing him to at least still survive major threats if you're careful) despite being in the same category.
I think this point should be highlighted the most, the whole point of the game is to get to higher floors in whatever way you want, but she specifically gets a setback she cannot negate or do anything about, meaning you play the game on a higher difficulty as just a slightly better shrimpo.
To me, shes so fun tp play with lol

Remove stealth to make it 2 stars and give her a star on speed and remove the aspect of her grappling to other toons and make a line of sigh ability that when u look forward and ur ability shines yellow or sparkles means u can use ur grapple ability to grapple onto the surface in front of u

Literally the only reason I ever played Scraps was so I could master every toon in the game. After mastering every toon, I can confidently say she is the most boring toon to play, I even enjoyed mastering Shrimpo more then her.
It’s because shrimps is more challenging, scraps is just… you can survive as her, but the gameplay is so lame.
Scraps is my fav but I do agree, I just like playing as her as she has a somewhat useful ability to escape mains. Suppose ur getting chased by vee and then u just use ur grapple to go to another toon to escape. Its really good. But shrimpo is a challenging toon

imo scraps is just a toon thats an obstacle to get a better toon, being goob. They do mention that scraps and goob cant extract well because of their claws, so to make her useful give her better movement OR a nicer ability that doesnt rely on teammates? like 5* stamina doesnt help that the fact that she has 2* movement so you cant run far without using a ton. And the ability only works if theres someone in your line of sight

You know literally the only change Scraps needs to not be so awful? Take a star out of stamina, and put it in movement speed. Boom, suddenly she can survive. She's still mediocre obviously, but that 2* movement speed is just the nail in the coffin. Her ability does also desperately need to be changed.

Her ability needs a total CHANGE.
So i have an idea, this new ability makes scraps has permanent hearts that maxes at nine in total. Everytime the hearts get broken, she will gain a speed boost for 5 seconds while making the twisteds stunned longer. The hearts need to be regenerate back overtime like 1 minute. Do know she also has to start with 2 hearts to balance it a bit.

I think scraps should have like, 2-1* Stealth because of the 9 hearts, and when she has 3 hearts left, she is going to get her actual stealth back.

I can agree, its pretty sad how scraps is just a character for an other character mainly shes useless and contributes like nothing to the team. And her ability completely sucks having to rely on a teamate to be near to save yourself, and shes just a WORSER character than glisten, which came out after her. And her trinket is even worser than finns. Finns twisted form is an uncommon while scraps is a rare yet worser trinket and character. Scraps needs a rework or something because nearly NO ONE plays her unless for goob or mastery.
Scraps is probably the most underrated toon like EVER. She is so cutee why does she have to be treated so badly😭😭❤

That idea is awesome! To not make her so op, the stun from the tail strike could be around 5 seconds, which is not too much but enough to escape in emergencies.
I would think like giving her 3 or even 4 star movement speed because it makes more sense for a cat to be fast and then she can actually have a role in the team ( distractor )

Scraps is honestly the cosmo to sprout, a character used and sole purpose is to unlock another character. I dont disagree with anything, but in terms of what else to gain from her? Goob. Her stats suck, but i guess her only grapple skill works a enough balance for a useless character (also before the term distractor is high survivalbility rate so im expecting Scraps is the opposite for Goob in that sense)

Yea Cosmo is actually a good toon imo unlike scraps. Scraps to goob is more like toodles to pebble.
But unlike her, Cosmo isn't useless and can actually be good on a team or solo run, toodles also comes under the category of characters whose sole purpose is to unlock another character, she isn't the best but not the worst either, she's pretty mid but isn't useless as well.
Scraps exists for the sole purpose of unlocking Goob (who is better in almost every way).

A better analogy would have been "Scraps is the toodles to pebble" Cosmo is actually a very good toon and you can take advantage of his ability. Giving all the heals to Cosmo is tecnhically keeping your whole team alive.
toodles to pebble would work, cosmo is helpful if you dont have a sprout in your team and toodles is not that helpful but has average stats just the 4* stealth and an ability that barely does anything
My friend loves scraps! She grinded for her and even bought a costume for scraps! She can buy goob , but she still uses scraps.
As one of the people who uses Scraps aside from Tisha and Glisten, i can balance her pretty well! i mean, her extraction sucks but i can play her pretty good if my lag doesn't intervene. She has a survivalist role but i made her an extractor, the trinkets i use for her is Dog Plush and Magnifying Glass since i don't have participation award yet.
Making her an extractor with the use of trinkets doesn't give her any more value lol. She should be able to be worthy by herself, without adding anything to compensate her weaknesses

Scraps is the very definition of a gate keep character. They made her only purpose as a challenge in order to get Goob, a much more reliable and amazing toon, when they had the very opportunity to make her just as good.

Omg, I was just talking about her with my little sister yesterday
We both agreed that she needs a desperate stat spread change and both agreed she should be the polar opposite of her little brother, low stamina and movement speed for high stealth and extraction speed (I also just feel like her having high stealth just makes sense, she is very cat like after all)
The stat spread I have in mind for her would actually be still unique to her because I just checked each toons stat spread and none of them excel at both extraction and stealth (if anything, characters with good extraction speed tend to be notorious for having terrible stealth)
I think they purposely made scraps seem like a helpless sibling that Goob has to protect. One of her voicelines after finishing a machine is quite literally “Goob would be so proud!” Insisting that Goob sees her as too helpless to complete a machine on her own, or that scraps even sees herself as helpless. Her ability is reliant on others, while goobs ability is to help others. I’m not sure why they made her this way, to seem like a burden to her own brother and to other toons. Hopefully they buff her in the future.

Imo I see her as an actually playable challenge character. Not many people can manage with shrimpo as a challenge and scraps is my favorite character to play as because I have all mastery so I don’t have much goals in dandy’s world recently.
i just feel like scraps is also meant to be an opposite to goob, she can pull herself in to other toons and goob can pull toons in to him, like sprout and teagen with sprout healing others and teagen only healing themselves like a compare contrast sort of way if you understand. bit of a crude way to have a toon just to be an opposite of someone else ability wise. but i like playing as scraps as a way to not do things as fast, she kinda of a favorite of mine ngl

I kinda wish both scraps and goob has another function to their abilities that doesn't have to do with other toons. Like their abilities just get worse the more teamates that die and if you're alone literally an entire half of the toon functionality is gone. My idea was to make scraps be able to pull herself to machines and goob able to pick up items from far away. Also no way glisten ability is better in everyway considering scraps ability has 3-4 times less cooldown
Her stats on release was actually good because back then Skill Check didn't have a value for how much it added to the machine, it was only on how wide the bar was and the frequency of Skill Checks. Lower Skill Check stat = more skill checks. So she was actually great with 2* Skill Check being there as it made her frequency of Skill Check really high and you could run Magnifying Glass on her. Unfortunately with the release of Glisten and Shelly updates where Skill Check was reworked, she never got a rework to her stats only a buff on to make her more balanced. So she got outclassed by Glisten that can teleport thru walls while she needs line of sight, she suffered the most with all the updates.
Maybe a rework of craps' ability could help - Her tail can target either a twisted, player or wall/machine (object basically). If she uses her tails on a twisted it will stun the twisted for 4 seconds (don't know how long it should stun for and the cooldown would be 60 seconds maybe?) and to balance it out she would go to that twisted (could be useful for twisteds camping paths during the panic timer) and if if used on a player/wall she will be pulled to it with a 20 second cooldown (change cooldown if needed). I know this sounds like she has 2 abilities, but she only has 1 what changes use depending on what it's used for (same with cooldown)
For her stats, They can stay the same regarding how op the ability is, if anything I would take a star of stamina and put it on movement.

I do sometimes see a lot of scrap players when it comes with game rounds. The every time I ever see players with scraps is they either use her to escape to the elevator or to escape twisted
the fact goob is a distractor and can naturally extract without an issue just shows how useless scraps is since none of her stats actually fit for anything besides surviving, i genuinely expected her buff to be within the stats and not the cooldown.

I'm not even someone nitpicky about balancing and can even have fun playing R&D despite many saying they're boring to play as but I genuinely hated playing Scraps when I was trying to get Goob. P.S I was playing her before Glisten was released so I couldn't even compare her to Glisten. I found the tail mechanic really finicky and I thought at first it would be primed for gaining lots of distance when getting chased by a toon but not even that works because I usually couldn't find a toon or when I did, it ran the risk of them gaining chase instead of me. Using it to traverse generally relied on people being there for it to work so I ended up just using her ability to get to the elevator and sparing a few seconds.
And everything you said about stats is true. She's just eh.

This isn't much of a problem unless you're being chased, but doing that takes less than a second, so chances are, you aren't gonna get hit during that time period.

I haven’t played the game but with my knowledge of game design scraps is supposed to be a ‘stepping stone’ toon or a toon that only exists to be played for someone to unlock a better toon, every game has a stepping stone character that basically has no function but only to be tedious enough that people would want to get rid of them as soon as possible
I love Scraps. She's my favorite Toon. And I looked at her wiki, and thought 'survivalist' just meant jack of all trades, but I was so wrong. I'm currently saving for her. Will I stop? No! But am I upset about how bad she is? Yes. What I think should happen with her, and this could just be me being the best at extracting and loving Scraps, she should be an extractor. It'd make her and Goob an actually viable team (Something plenty of people prolly wanna do!), it'd make her actually good, and, again, she'd be the pb to Goobs j.
Scraps can distract, any toon with two star speed can distract with dog plush and ribbon spool but ONLY on the floors ribbon spool activates

Make scraps active able to hook on twisted and stun them for around 3-4s or make her grapple boost speed to nearby toons when she grapples to them

Once I was in a normal run with friends, and we got to around floor 20. There were Shrimpo, Cosmo, Poppy, Boxten, Tisha and Vee as Twisteds (I think) and everyone else died at 3/8 machines done. I finished all 5 of the rest and survived all of it. And the twist? I was playing as Scraps. I think she's pretty good for a challenge myself, and one of my friends even mains her.

yknow, now that I think about it... TOODLES sucks TOO. Like alot. Her active is trash and luck based, so even if you get what you want, its only a little amount for a couple of seconds. Plus, her 2 star extraction is not really helping the stat pool....

Personally, I play her as an extractor who can take chase if for example Pebble or Tisha or any other 3-star stealth distractor is in a bit of a pickle and needs to regen stamina or something. Then scraps could use her ability to quickly get to the situation and temporarily take chase by using her amazing stamina :D
(but yeah no she's really bad right now, anyone please give her a rework or some immense buffs 🙏)
(also trinkets I use are nightcap and gachapon/pink bow/crayon set since those can work surprisingly well for her sometimes, if anyone wants to try her out)

Oh my gosh a Tail Strike as a replacement for Scraps’s ability is perfect.
Then she would truly be a SURVIVALIST. Maybe she could even help defend Toons that are being chased down by Twisteds to save them a heart with the click of a button.
I feel like scrap could be a really cool starter toon, maybe only 500 ichor, they could make it so scraps tail would give big buffs to whoever it latches on to making more experienced players want to carry her, this could be a cool way to help less experienced players live longer and help with team work!
I remember once I was playing as Tisha or Toodles I can’t remember. I was getting chased and a scraps had grappled onto me and took the twisted away from me. She was the reason why I survived that round :)

I remember when I was forced to use scraps. and how I hate her for wasting my time on getting twisted goob, however I slightly enjoyed her play style.
Glisten also has a sort of saviour dynamic because if they are a real G they can teleport to you if you are being chased at low stamina with a low speed toon, and if they have a dog plush they could distract that twisted long enough for the other toon to regain stamina
Now i think scraps might be my fav now..
Other option could be to make her ability give stat boosts to those who are on the receiving end, this would require a cooldown increase but would make her better, as she would become a supporter. Cause of her high stealth she can just go in, boost the distractor, then go out unharmed, or even boost someone extracting, like Astro and Shelly respectively. And then at last just make her extraction two stars and the leftovers goes to movement speed, she is a fricking paper cat! With this she could be a great supporter that dosnt need help surviving in case she is being chased

i mean in my opinion i think shes considered a survivalist in a team setting because of her stamina, even though shes slow, she can get out of a twisteds line of sight with the right trinkets, her ability also allows her to grapple onto a person in the elevator if theres not enough time to run there.
i still love her, shes my top one fav. Also great video!!!

This Toon can pull herself towards another Toon's targeted position, and boosts speed by 20% for 2 seconds Apon use. Needs direct line of sight. 25 Second Cooldown.
I feel having a speed boost after using the grapple would simulate a feeling of Momentum when using the ability.

Firstly - remove ALL stats (I know it would change her gameplay but she suuucks right now) and place the next one (based on her desing)

(This makes that scraps doesn't need a team to be a good toon, and she can even support by stunning the twisted and then hiding! Also a highter cooldown cuz she'd be a bit too overwhelming if it was too low.)
I thought it would be nice to make Scraps an extractor. Give her basically no movement speed and stamina like Rodger, but super high skill check and extraction speed. Then, make her ability into an actual escape tool. Now she can serve the purpose of being a toon that can get machines done fast and pull herself out of danger when the need arises. Also, I’m not sure if she has this or not, but if she doesn’t give her invincibility frames during her grapple. Then she can act as an opposite to Goob

4:09 on the topic of stunning I believe that if they do add a stun ability, there should be a risk reward aspect if you miss, or requirements need to be met like a window for the stun or a trap
When i was trying to play as scraps, I used her mainly as a partial distractor role when its convenient. If i saw someone with high stealth being chased (astro, toodles, boxten, poppy...), I use my tail whip to snap myself towards them to take aggro from them and drive the twisteds far from extraction machines. Its only useful for early floors but not against mains sadly. if her extraction speed was average instead of 2*, I'd fully optimize her as an extractor.
As a Scraps Main.
Even thought she has good stats to make her survive. She still needs to depend on teammates to pull through (mainly because of her ability, but you can easily role through things with her without it).
Sometimes when I’m in a pinch(out of stamina) while running from a twisted, the ability saves me with ease(most of the time).
Yet it’s such a specific use for her, that’s why not many people play her, and people just want Goob. I feel bad for her honestly.
She’s really good in team games(not for extracting, but for managing to keep her health longer than the rest), once alone, she’s not as good, but you can still make it pretty far.
Lets not forget that her ability could also not work properly if the player target is constantly moving, if the player walks off range or moves behind a prop the second you use the ability, you just get stuck in place for some seconds, getting you easly killed in the process
2:27 this is actually something i hate the most about scraps player, especially when im using brightney since im brightney main, and then my gameplay is laggy asf, but i used to be a scraps main too, but i only use her ability when panic mode and yeah tbh using scraps is fun
Scraps is okay at surviving and extracting for me as she has decent stealth and an escaping ability. For example, in my experience, I was extracting as Scraps, and Twisted Vee was chasing the heck out of Glisten. Most importantly, Vee passed me TWICE with me in her sight, and yes, she was still chasing Glisten. And even if the Twisteds were camping the elevator, she could use her ability. Therefore, she is not good but fair, you only need to master your ability to escape and survive.
