I'm not a guitar player. I'm just here to say the Carcosa sounds great on synthesizers too, and for fucking up drum machine sounds.

Just got one a couple of days ago. Love it. My neighbours, on the other hand, don't.
I watched this great demo! It was the main reason I bought one and I'm glad I did. This pedal is THE most exciting OD/Distortion/Fuzz I've ever owned (out of a total of eight). If I were forced to have only one distortion-type pedal....this would be it. The Carcosa does it all!

Thanks for a super demo of the Carcosa! I’ll now be looking for one because you’re the only demo I could find that showed off the range from lower gain tones to full on crazy fuzz ! This is going to be the only dirt pedal on my new board.

Thank you for making me aware of this utterly fantastic pedal. Watched a few more Carcosa vids after yours and ended up buying it. One of the best pedals I've ever owned. I've never been a 'fuzz' lover but love the fuzz tones from this baby. Also, turning the before fuzz down to 9.00 o'clock and the after fuzz to 7.00 o'clock the pedal becomes one of the best od/ distortions. Lovely sounding organic analogue goodness. Can't rate this pedal highly enough...thank you :-D
Just got this pedal. Amazing variety of sounds. Does a fuzzrite kind of thing or a Maesteo or a supro broken speaker sound or gritty distotion, as you demoed. Won't replace my fuzzrite though, doesn't quite get there. I think a fuzzrite cuts through a Surfybear reverb better.
Never realised how much fun fuzz is. Keep coming back to this demo. Best demo i've ever seen of a fuzz pedal. Would love to see you do more of these Ryan. You have really do have a great ear for classy sounds. Great work.
I do love how it sounds and how versatile it is, but but I get the feeling that by getting one I'll be selling my soul to the King in Yellow XD
Got one and with a strat I never turn it off it’s so usable and pleasing! And not a mental price tag in sight.
This is a great fuzz pedal. Does everything from adding grit to amp exploding craziness. Reminds me of the Fulltone Catalyst which I thought was a very misunderstood pedal and very adaptable.
You do not disappoint. I wanted a fuzz that I can use in some pretty straight-laced situations. Bingo.
Now THIS is how a pedal demo SHOULD be done, all demo and no jabber! 60 Cycle Hum, you got it right. I'm tired of all the videos where all the guy does is talk.

since I got one I use it for almost all my dirt. it is surprisingly great as an ovrrdrive

Got mine a few months ago...still on my board...skeptical when i purchased because Pro Guitar Shop collaborated in the making of this pedal and at the time Andy and Brett were storming RUclips with vids pushing the sales of it...I am truly amazed and I own Z-vex Fuzz Factory Mini Fuzz Faces Custom Art in Bloodshed and several others and this by far has controlled my interest...great review by the way...

Update: I bought one and have used it off and on for over a month and I’m very impressed. After 48 years of playing rock and other genres, this is the first fuzz pedal I’ve ever bought/used because it’s really not my thing. But it has allowed me to do some really amazing lead work that is quite a bit different than my usual style so that is saying something. I highly recommend it if you’re thinking about buying one. It’s been money very well spent.
Mine showed up on my doorstep this morning. Looking forward to playing with it.
BTW, Carcosa and the King in Yellow are a part of the Cthulhu Mythos...created by HP Lovecraft and others (Bierce, Chambers, Clark Ashton Smith, etc), and expanded on by various authors for the last eight decades or so.
I bought one, to try to get a fuzzy Kinks type of tone, and I was surprised at how versatile this pedal is. The Kinks, Black Sabbath, and early Judas Priest tones are all tones you can find.
As far as Chris goes, Boss pedals are made of metal, and Behringer pedals are made of plastic. May I suggest you throw a Boss pedal at his head, then throw a Behringer pedal. Finally, throw a Carcosa pedal, and ask him if it felt like the Boss or the Behringer.
This video convinced me to buy this pedal, and i've owned it for over a year now. I will say mine is very temperamental and doesn't always want to work. When i can get it to work, i absolutely love the sounds that it makes, but sadly I don't feel comfortable gigging with it

Well,.kinda wish I hadn't gone there,but this really is soo much more usable,and every bit as badass as the Godzilla. :)

The most baffling thing I've managed to squeeze out of Carcosa was a rather clean boost. A fuzz shouldn't be able to do that.
Yet here we are.
Oh, and also Carcosa's button is pure dogshit lmao, replace it with a soft switch whenever you get a chance. It's so loud, you can use it as a metronome
Hey dude, I know I'm a bit late for this video but I'm thinking of getting either the Carcosa or the Big Muff and I can't really decide.
I LOVE the sound of the Big Muff, and even though I think it can make more dirty fuzz than the Carcosa, the later one I think is more versitile which is a huge + for me.
So I'm not sure which one to get..
I mean the Carcosa seems to be disappearing from the market as of now whilst a Big Muff will always be around, so maybe it's worth just trying this one out?
I unfortunately do not have the luxery to get both at this point, or get one and then regret it.
the carcosa is more niche than the muff. the muff will always be a classic and id recomend it as an essential fuzz over the carcossa, but yeah, the carcossas not going to be available new forever and they are only $99 new, and they sound awesome. Its a tough decision.

I got this fuzz an love it. One issue is the after knob has crazy crackle from 11 to 3 where there is not much tone affected an lota of crackle but before an 11 and after no crackle. Anyone else had the same issue ?. Called up the store I got it from an they convinced me the pedal was new an why the box was open......
I just got it used and the after pot is really noisy, similar way as yours (between 10 and 2). Did you solve it? I think I'll have to disassemble it and try to clean the pot from the inside..

I know it’s been a while but I wanted to ask. My Carcosa is the only pedal that hums when I turn it on. If I touch it the hum goes away. It is not the power supply. Used many with the pedal alone. Gonna trade it. Love the sounds. Hate the hum. All my other fuzz super quiet. Thanks
sounds like somethings wrong, a pedal shouldnt ground to the touch like that.

when i turn my After all the way on the volume randomly changes all the time... :/ it's weird
GunsNRoosendael that's natural from a fuzz, especially on the attack. That volume sputter, as it's called is like a self oscillation of sorts. Turn the gain down when that happens if you don't like it
I noticed that in parts of the demo, there's some squelchy feedback between notes. Is that from the pedal itself or from your amp or other equipment you're using?
