Hallstatt, Austria, spectacular views, tranquil atmosphere, bucket list place to visit - Vanlife UK

We've been waiting a long time to get the opportunity to visit Hallstatt. Having seen so many stunning pictures of this lakeside town, we really wanted to go there and see it for real. It has quite a unique atmosphere, very tranquil being a lake surrounded by mountains and it felt almost mystical and apart from the sound of people it drew you in to it's stillness..
The traditional buildings are incredibly attractive in their pastel colours and the town just makes you smile and wonder at it's beauty.
We had originally planned to stay overnight and experience the sunrise and sunset but due to the weather we had to reschedule and make it a day trip, we'd advise getting there early to avoid the main tourist times.
