i think nyango is a she. i think the one behind the mascot is no other than Nao Kawatika the drummer of Maximum the Hormone from japan. I got the Idea because nyango has a female voice when it talked and the drum kit she uses is literally the same with nyango star

The whole idea of nyangostar is to do heavy metal drumming. So basically it's the whole idea to take what ever song it is, and heavy metal the shit out of it in often quite unfitting and absurd ways! :D He's an official mascot of Kuroishi City, a rural farming town :)
Why they allow this? Because in Japan, if you're an entertainer you have to be a role model, no sex, drugs & rock'n'roll. So, all music styles are clean, fit for all ages.
