People forget that a 'real' prop firm works exactly like this. The 10% drawdown type of challenges are simply not trading but gambling. You need to gamble in order to pass.

Agreed. If people are disagreeing they don't realize that the only thing you actually trading is a demo account with the amount you have in drawdown. You overleveraging it even with that 'apparent' sound risk management you think you should use.

Am impressed by the way Lux groom traders and looking forward to be part of it. But this video is making me a bit nervous because of the 1% per week wich is extremely high. I am working on 1% per month considering the stipulated dd from Lux . Is really difficult .
Hi, everybody has their own targets and goals, so no need to go for 1% per week. But 2-4% per month are realistic and normal numbers in the asset management world when trading a Forex management account so we had this calculated based on that. As well we have a lot of new young traders who all learn that 10% per month is a normal standard to earn or even more and that is also get promoted not only by the prop firms who offer these challenges but as well by educators and online trading influencers! This is the reason why we show this video that with a more realistic profit target and time frame you can get a six or seven-figure income as well and not need to gamble all day long. So if you feel good to go for 1% per month then this is what you should do. We always encourage our traders to take all the time they need and focus more on the drawdown and protect the capital instead of focusing only on profit targets and rushing to make it too fast. In the end, you get rewarded by the results and the growth of your account and when risk too much you end up with nothing.

Curious on how many traders are now in each stage for Lux for professional onwards? Maybe a rough estimate?
Hi Daniel, we do not provide numbers as many firms do for marketing purposes as nobody who asks for it can check it anyway. As most of the prop firms focus on marketing profit split, prove of payments, and how many traders they have, we are marketing more that we are the only prop firm which proves that our traders get real live money accounts and that all our trader's trades are really placed in the market, and their trades get filled by genuine big bank liquidity providers.
Most prop firms need enormous numbers of traders as they need their fees to payout their winners as where our trader's profits are from the markets. Also, we are looking for traders who want to build up a career in trading and not looking for a firm with the most traders so they can follow the crowd. But I can tell you that we have traders in each stage of our program, but most of our traders prefer not to be used as marketing martial, especially those in higher stages.
But we do have a couple of video’s of traders from different stages on our RUclips channel if you want to see different traders experience in our career program.

If you mean any system based on a “negative outcome” of the actual trade, like averaging down, or Martingale, then this is not allowed, as we trade with real money accounts and do not want our traders to lose or blow up their account sooner or later with this type of trading strategies. Most virtual prop firms do not mind if you use this, as they are not hurt when you lose their virtual money. 2. Yes, you can hold positions overnight and over the weekend. 3. The max drawdown is based on the relative from the highest balance.
What is the recommended risk per trade to gain 1% per week without breaking the trading rules?
Hi Chris, the best is to avoid risking more than 5% per trade or divide the max 5% if you trade with multiple trades simultaneously from the available risk capital you still have in your account. The max available risk capital is the max drawdown level, and this amount and levels can see in our trader dashboard.

Hi Ayub, I think you miss the msg of this video! No real live money account prop firm program can earn anything if they give 75% or higher profit split to their traders. The firms who do are only do this to get new traders as they need fees to pay out the winners. This is what we try to explain in this video!

@@Laurikoivisto First of all, we do not take any money from the traders as this money is ours, so we give our traders 50-75% of the profits they make with our money. Second of all, this calculation in the video is based on the old profit split of 65% on all account stages, so it will now be a little different. This video was meant to show to high-risk traders and gamblers who prefer these challenges on virtual money accounts with their high unrealistic profit share and big drawdowns that with normal and realistic trading rules and risk management, you can also make a nice income.

I've heard that Lux trading does not fund the traders even if the trader passes all the challenges. I hope it is not true because every trader puts a lot of efforts. It's better to clarify each step and requirements by lux trading firm
Hi, we fund all our traders who pass. Only some traders think reaching the profit target as soon as possible is all there to pass. We are not like this simulated virtual money account prop firms who do not care how you reach your target as they do not risk their own money.
