I remember getting Law & Order, Psyche-Out and Crazylegs for my birthday back in 1987. The year after I got the Mean Dog with Wildcard and even had Sgt. Slaughter on my birthday cake. G.I. Joe was the best toy line EVER.

I remember this was my first Cobra Commander. As soon as he came out, Serpentor was in the shoe box.

I think this was likely from 1989 which was when they introduced Cobra Commander's new look for the DIC incarnation of GI Joe

These are all 1987 products.

This is from 1987, its just that DIC used that version of Cobra Commander for that show. Those shows had a tendency to keep using discontinued products.

That was actually an imposter Cobra Commander in the armor. The real one was shot and buried alive by him and the imposter, who made the armor said “Funny thing about this helmet; could be ANYONE inside.”

I had the new Cobra Commander and it seemed like a cheap imitation of the original which I did not have. 😠
