She reacted with an indignant stream of accusations about his audacity as a married man to hit on her. He was single. The other nurses had gossiped this false information about him. Who knows why? Probably because he ghosted one of them and this was likely her revenge.
Three scenarios that come to mind: 1. the guy wins and deformation/slander is upheld. 2. The guy settles out of court and both sides win. 3. The girls ‘win’ so it’s game-on for all deformation, in which us men immediately create our own (better and more detailed) site with all the ho3facts of every gf/ex/ONS/etc and women lose everything overnight. When they want to censor you they point to their terms of service and either claim that they're a private entity and have the right to hold you to whatever terms they want; in other words, they're a publisher and have the right to regulate THEIR content. Then when they get named as party to a libel suit, they claim they're not a publisher; they're only a platform for YOUR content, and YOU'RE liable for what YOU publish. They have no responsibility to fact-check or investigate. In the world of paper print, the law was written over a hundred years ago that you either had to be a publisher OR a platform; not both. That's been extended as well to broadcast news, cable, and online newsmedia companies. But neither Congress nor the Supreme Court has felt the need to nail social media's feet to the floor and make them pick one. Otherwise we would either have reporting that was a lot more accurate on social media, or they would have to be less slanted when censoring people and you would actually have free speech online. That's why social media is the ultimate of the worst in the court of public opinion: they can fact check or censor or shadow-ban at will, and they can push outright lies and rumor mills whenever they feel like it with no liability.
