From my perspective, Donald Trump was not suitable for the presidency. As someone from a military family, his remarks about the active military, veterans, and the U.S. Constitution have been particularly troubling to me. His approach and statements often conflict with my views and values. He is not putting America first. He is only putting himself first.
This much was obvious from the VERY START.

I told my very elderly step mother, a former Trump supporter, that Trump loves nothing more than himself. Not America, not democracy, not even God. That bit about God helped break Trump's hold on her. When she thought about it, with me sitting there staring straight at her after saying that, she realized that he puts himself above God. Surprisingly, her faith saved her from the cult of MAGA, and for that, I'm thankful to God.
One could just replace the word 'America' with the words 'Donald Trump' to get the real meaning of his words.

I served in the Marines during Viet Nam and afterwards. I am intensely proud of that and I respect every American that served honorably. Trump was a draft dodger and as such I have no time for him. Never have throughout his adult life and in recent years, with his utter disregard for people who did serve, those wounded warriors and really, anyone with a disability… as well as his actions at the end of his presidency render him totally unfit to serve in any capacity going forward. He has no honor. Hopefully, he will live the rest of his life in an orange jump suit.

Having grown up in a Trump loving household, I can give insight into this. It's because there are many people that even more than conservatism, what they really want is a fighter, and someone they felt gave them permission to express the cruel thoughts they had but felt society would judge them to harshly if they said them. Then Trump came along and not only did he have the exact same kind of cruel thoughts as them, but he was a narcissist who would always say whatever he wanted and refused to apologize for it. He was their dream media figure, and that he was also running to be a politician and would go as far as they all wanted to go to get their way, not simply conservatism, but cruelty and control over everything else, was the best thing they had ever heard in literally their entire life. These were the first Trump supporters, and they will forever be the very last ones to stay by him no matter how bad it gets. Because a loss of Trump, is a loss of their dream scenario. Using violence for whatever they felt. And the rest of the conservatives and republics had to go along with him because promised literally all the conservative policies they wanted.
But how he ultimately got elected, is because so many people just didn't like, or care to support Hillary Clinton. So they just sat out, or voted for third parties out of protest or trying something else. They don't recognize that this simply is a zero sum game, and that if you don't want one person, then you have to vote behind the other, cause conservative people are always going to ravenously support their nominee. And if you don't want their person, then you have to fight them with antimatter.

Trump on the other hand, if he indeed had "bonespurs" (which can be successfully removed by surgery) was the son of a very wealthy & successful realtor & could have easily afforded the surgery to remove those "bonespurs".

We made fun of Trump’s bowel issues with the diaper balloon. Now the former producers of The Apprentice have had their interviews broadcast on RUclips. Trump’s decades long abuse of cocaine ruined his bowels, and when he threw a temper tantrum, he’d mess his pants. They’d have to stop filming to change his diaper. His coke use was so bad, he needed surgery to fix his blown out sinuses. That’s when he switched to adderall.

Canadian here. Trump is in no way shape or form how our country has ever viewed American leaders. It’s just so tragic it ever came to this. I don’t get how anyone, veteran or not can vote for this monster and yes he is a loser.
