Ding wouldn’t need to be so resilient though if his opening prep was better.
@ you can roll your eyes at me for watching Hikaru but I think that my points are valid. I don’t need to explain the fact that Ding is getting blown off the board from the opening. Now, I’ll grant the fact that the positions are INCREDIBLY TOUGH to evaluate, especially this one. But I’m talking more holistically. It’s not because I think Gukesh thinks that he’s a better player or anything like that, but I think that Gukesh rather has a style that’s more of a “fight until the end” and “there’s play here, I’m going to go for it” kind of style. Objectively, that’s more risky. I appreciate that he does this, but it lends itself to more misevaluation, and I feel as if that’s a fair point to make here.
@@MattiMCFC I didn’t even know that, that’s wild. But I still think Ding should try to dig deeper into known openings and find sidelines that can mess with Gukesh. That’s why I think the overall strategy on Ding’s team is to focus more on the black pieces.
@@jaredseecharran4548 that's interesting because I think Ding Liren is trying to exploit Gukesh's youth and hunger by playing for a draw during most of the match. He's trying to crush Gukesh's spirit to land a final blow in the end. I feel like after round 7 confidence of Gukesh was low But after this game he gained confidence because he know he can outplay Ding in upcoming matches with his prep He just needs to calm himself after getting lead against world champ 🤔 Your thoughts.......
Hello! To begin with, thank you for the coverage of the event and the always interesting recaps. As for the content of the game, I am convinced that Ding does not want to win this world championship, more or less consciously. I have the feeling that the title weighed heavily on him, that he especially does not want to leave for 2 years and another match at the end. I am not saying that he "does it on purpose" to underplay or lose, but as you explain very rightly, we are no longer in chess but in psychology, and here we are on a non-combativeness so obvious that, I believe, can only be explained by this idea. Take care and see you Tuesday for the rest!
Bro you should concentrate on explaining why the other knight was a better choice instead of just saying.Oh! Its a mistake..we know that by looking the bar, what we do not know is why?Hope you take note on this
The protector rook at c8 had no protector, because the d7 knight was blocking the white bishop to come and save the rook ( which also comes with a check and can't lose rook for nothing). Whereas the other the queen would have been pressurized more by white. Hope that helps.
Levy, if a player is making mistakes, you should point it out to them. Whether they are Magnus or Gukesh is irrelevant. The most honest thing to do is that.
The players do a much more in depth analysis after the game, there is nothing Levy could inform them about, they are aware all this on their level, he is sharing this analysis with us bozo's so we might learn something. Have you? Don't think so...

Gukesh is nuts!
Declined a draw in so intense moment 🥶
Happy Birthday 🎂
This title is too much. Misleading and disrespectful.
Watch it live then..u lazy ungrateful bastard.
I mean the missleading and disrespect is in your mind. He did it, he defended difficult position.
Happy Birthday levy🎉🎉🎉
This is a disrespectful level of click bait. You have healthy viewership already and don’t need to sucker people in to watch your content.
You are the best example. It worked :D
Ding like an absolutely gangster
I really hope he win .. he deserves it more..
Without preparing for any match and still being this good *!!*
Gukesh might regret these missed opportunities for the game for the rest of his life...
I hope not 🙏
Gukesh is young. Even if he loses the series, he's still got a lot of chess life ahead of him.
Its a mistake..we know that by looking the bar, what we do not know is why?Hope you take note on this
Right? I wondered the same. Still wondering.
The protector rook at c8 had no protector, because the d7 knight was blocking the white bishop to come and save the rook ( which also comes with a check and can't lose rook for nothing). Whereas the other the queen would have been pressurized more by white. Hope that helps.
15:08 This was the best moment before 6:40. Bro did not even hesitate, and the ruthlessness had me rolling on the floor
For new viewers, the first title was "He Finally Won ?????"
Yes, glad he changed it. Because of the questionmarks I would have got the answere. So it was more interesting for me :)
love watching these recaps while having dinner nd watching gukesh
Queen blunder on 21:46 is crazy
Bro the video was uploaded 10 minutes ago
And you commented this 8 minutes ago
He's tripping
Happy birthday dude! Thanks for putting together such good stuff
0:50 Yapping stops here
Levy, if a player is making mistakes, you should point it out to them.
@@sandorcsoknya7547 Some of the comments people make are slightly off ?the one above is funny to a point . But you’re right
You are right, generally speaking, as Levy was a coach. But these guys are so strong, Levy's advice wouldn't really be so helpful.
15:20 I love how you make a joke about you. You are super at coming up with ideas bro
Spoiler: it was a draw
Really, really, really interesting draws, of all things, the last couple of days ... and Happy Birthday too.

The 3 mistakes were costly . I appreciate you saying you’re not backseating . If I misjudged I apologize I appreciate and respect what you said there is a lot of trash talk in chat and when rooting for a player it’s easy to get caught up and get defensive or react to what people are saying but ok
Of course he is not backseating, if you would be a strong chess player of certain level, you would understand the way of thinking. It's not personal, you have to talk about mistakes in an objectiv way :)
even hikaru said the position was unplayable by a human .
No. But the games are getting really complicated. Really unusual positions too. I'm absolutely loving this now. Let's hope players keep giving us fresh opening ideas and rich positions like the last 2 games
Ding Liren as the Defense of Hikaru but the confidence of Gotham when he sees who he is playing
Man, I’ve been following you for some time and all… but this recaps and your ways had made me buying your course and I have a love hate relationship with you now, your courses are dope anda very good quality, the hate relationship is now my wallet kind of hate me hahaha. Thank you keep being Cowabonga mate!
13:23 missed chance to say ding chilling
I've never doubted He, so proud of this man
Quite instructive...and entertaining. Best combo.
