    • @Ninja-pc3gd
      @Ninja-pc3gd 6 лет назад +67

      Yahoo bought Alibaba? Are you kidding me? Simple google will help you to educate more about the company. Jerry Yang just invested in Alibaba for shares of the company. He never bought Alibaba, Jack Ma is still in control of all the shares of his company. Also Masayoshi Son introduced Jack Ma to Jerry Yang (Founder of Yahoo) and also the first investor of Yahoo is also Masayoshi Son (Founder of Softbank).

Softbank is basically a venture capitalist and tech conglomerate which invests in risky companies with poor balance sheets with the hope that some of them strike gold. BRK invests in established companies with strong cash flows erroring on the side of safety.

    Son is an ethnic Korean(same sur name as Son, Heung-min of Tottenham hotsper) born in West Japan near Korea. His grandfather moved from Korea to Japan during the colonial period.
    His nationality was Korean till 1990 and changed as Japanese at that time. The reason why he stopped studung in high school in Japan and went to US to study was because of the Japanese discrimination against Korean. Since Koreans born in Japan could never have proper Jobs in Japan then, many Koreans born in Japan became sports players or TV entertainer, and never disclose their secrets about their origine in public.
    Hard situation made him stronger and let him found Softbank and succeed. Even though he naturalized to Japan, he never have changed his sur name, which had been impossible then(Son was not allowed be registered by Japanese sur name), by his Japanese wife's help.

      wrong, the reason he studied in the united states was because of many Japanese students studying abroad during the bubble economy when Japan was on the verge of overtaking the united states. It has nothing to do with discrimination. He even said himself that he studied in the united states on the advice of Den Fujita who was the president of Mcdonald's Japan. Today his children are of more Japanese blood than Korean, because Masa is half-japanese while his wife is fully japanese.

    SoftBank is funding startup and competitors, like ride sharing companies Uber and OLA they have invested in both them . If one of them succeeds they will get good share as returns are too big if startup succeeds.
