Just watched this again and oh boy, was that a fun day! I laughed so much and can't believe you made me drive some of it, and then of course there was my very 'special' moment with Roger ;-)
That was fun to watch. You're going to have fun at the competition and I suspect you'll be the only team that is more used to being a proper work horse 🤣
I've never tried cones as tight as those, and never competed, but if they allow standing by the driver I would be standing up and looking down each side of the hitch. I drive teams of 2 and 4 in the bush and on the farm and just avoiding trees can be difficult if sitting low on a sleigh or ground driving skidding logs etc. They pop up out of nowhere lol!
Traditionally it was used to get a fresh horse to a hunt, as the horse up front is pulling very little weight. The rider would travel in the carriage. Narrow forestry or pulling the barges.
What a fun discipline....hope the horses enjoyed it as well. Thanks for sharing. Susan from Virginia
Hello how are you. I live in Norfolk😊
I loved watching this Eleanor and Mike. Good luck for the competition.
Thanks 😊
Love it!!! I have a pair of big traditional gypsy horses that I do these driving trials and CDEs with. They LOVE it!
Yeah ours definitely enjoyed themselves!
I don’t know how many times I’ve been told that horses don’t understand voice commands - brilliant to see! 🎉
Our horses do! Our toddler doesn't...

It was fun to do too! Apart from having the worst colds at the time!

Yeah it was pretty difficult but in the competition we came 2nd... Out of 2 😂😂
Is there a working environment where there is a real advantage to have a tandem or random?
