UPDATE: The Philippine Mars is scheduled to leave Sproat Lake for the last time TOMORROW December 15th at 10:00 AM local time. I still don't know where in San Francisco it will be landing.
@@scottallen2190 I read after a day in SFO it head to SAN for three days. I wish they would display it the dome in Long Beach where Hughe’s Hercules was.
I don’t wish anything bad on the Mars but I’m glad it had to turn around. I was able to see it twice that day and now have the opportunity to see it fly once more. I’m just not ready to say goodbye yet. 😢 Thx for all the great videos.
Considering how popular it is, it could be economical to convert it to a party boat. Even better idea, a recruitment boat. It flies from lake to lake doing tours. It's big enough to put a museum inside of it. America has a lot of lakes. Make the military pay for it.
Probably next year if it’s already in Arizona, I’ll be planning to go there and see it, even though both this and the Hawaii one are final done for flying
I had the opportunity to see the flying boat in Lake Elsinore, which is about 10 miles from my home and see it fly directly over the house. I think it was on its way to Mexico for firefighting.
It's really cool that engine #2 was harvested, from the now museum kept, Hawaii mars. It is although unfortunate that they had to abort the flight to Arizona due to issues with that replaced engine.
I live in Nanaimo, and I'm actually in the Philippines now on vacation. I'm so sad I can't be there to see the Last of the Giants take off for its final destination... 😪
G'day to you, What a Magnificent Beauty She is, back in the 60s I lived in Sydney Aust. and we always had an Empire Flying Boat fly over our House, the Tiles on the roof would all ways make a racked as it flew low over us! Armadale West Aust.
Always loved tge fkying boats wish i got a ride in 1 lil late now never see 1 where i am but wat a way to travel back in tgevday itd ve great now but tge infrastructure for tgem not really hady now .

I'd love to watch it live.
Where will it go after San Francisco. There was bad weather in San Fran the last couple days.
I think somewhere near the old Alameda Naval Base, it use to fly in and out of there.

I live in Victoria, hope to see it flypast. The Martin Mars was an incredible sight a couple of months ago.

That engine two is the one that has been giving trouble for a while now is it not?

Fortunate for us though. Will be forever when it finally leaves...
After 65 years, Sproat Lake will be much emptier without these big birds around
It's named after my country!
9:06 check out the prop vortices on #1

would have been very cool to see her in Pensacola but im sure PIMA will take good care of her
All the years the old girl has been flying, she's finally going to hang up her horse shoes. I'm sad. We'll never see the like of her again.
After the #PhilippineMars lands for the final time, the only time it will fly is via #MSFS.
I guess it really didn't lift off since u cut the actual scene 😮😞
Yeah, can't be in two places at once unfortunately haha

Right when I was getting ready to see if it takes off you cut it
And the next scene it was in the air.
I gave you a thumbs down
