Just a little in the philippines I eat Raw cassava cause it sweet the most poisonos is that the cassava wicth is planted and harvest for long time that contain a bit of poison but newly plant and bew harvested is safe... Ok cause it is sweet just like sweet potato

As southeast asia people felt lucky bcs we born and live close to nature..even live in city our parents or great grandparent will teach atleast basic tu survive in jungle or river sea and from wild animal most of thing in jungle we can use as food,medicine too learn which snake poisonous,what to do if met elephant,types of plant or animal which one we can eat..some snake even can fly fyi..and tiger produce sound like a bird"chrip"wild boar only walk straight unstoppable can die if met them..if there is a prawn in river high possibilities crocordile exist..if there is crane(paddy field)meaning lot of fish..if met cobra dont run they will run toward you spit poison sensitive attack to anymovement just stand still..if met a tiger they at your back change position face them..bcs a tiger kill by bite break neck first..dog can hear your heart beat..if you're fear..so does most other animal..phython like place where got a lot of food example hen,goat etc becareful if raise them..they can sense their prey..ahh black panther eat cat too..can climb tree well..there is more tips how to capture animal for food traditional skill survivor..if being bite by poisonous animal usually medicine in the forest too..ha...ha..my country felt like a zoo..wild animal at home backyard surrounding🤣MALAYSIA.
I was thinking They're brave to eat uncooked casava some casava are poisonous. But it was a show for sure there's an expert with them about thing to eat and not to eat.
The leaves can be eat too, you can fry with some anchioves or make a chicken soup with it. Its really delicious... But I have never seen ppl eat the fruit raw, you need to cook it first...

Simple recipe. Cassava dump on fire. And then after cook, peel the skin and eat the inner part with scrap coconut flesh.
