Thanks, Guys, that was really interesting. Three levels of bed is a lot! Glad your roommate was nice. Years ago, I took a second-class sleeper train in South Africa, traveling alone. My compartment held 6 people. It was me (English speaker) and 5 Afrikaans-speaking smokers and drinkers who were having a great time. I decided to choose a top-level bed to get away from the noise and smoke, which lasted much of the night. That was a terrible mistake, as smoke (duh!) rises. 😫
Great video. I'm sure your roommate wouldn't have minded if you used the shower ;-) My partner and I were in Madrid in July and it's our escape-to place if you-know-who wins in November.
Just make friends with the stranger 🙂 It's not that hard in Europe, people are very direct and you just could have asked if you are not comfortable showering or filming.
Cool video though :) I also find the pillow too thin, and they only get fresh bread once a Journey. So the bread rolls may come from Berlin and traveled to Paris and back. I dont understand why they do this :') otherwise I like going with Nightjet a lot
also, there is a special cabin in the car designated for brushing teeth or washing your face. But the water in the train may not be suitable to drink. So it's better to clean your mouth with bottled water.
The french national carrier SNCF stopped night train services *decades ago* due to the lack of customers. Because french people use TGV high speed trains on domestic routes since 1981 ! Also Eurostar high speed trains to London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne etc. SNCF is now trying to reintroduce night train services on a few routes using slow trains. I think that these trains use old refurbished sleeper cars from the 70's and 80's, so that you can't expect the same level of comfort as in modern TGV and Eurostar trains. Note : if you wish to stay alone or two people in a sleeper train, don't book 2nd class cabins 😉
We hope they stay for good! As for the cabin, there were two people cabins in our same class, they were sold out when we booked so we thought we had paid extra to have the three person cabin for ourselves but we were mistaken!
Great video gentlemen. I expected Euro trains to WAY better than AMTRAK but it only seems to be better in something and worse in others. So can we expect a part 2 detailing your adventures in the "clubs" like Boiler?😜
Night trains are making a slow come back in Europe but are still not very popular. Long distance train trip in Europe are typically made with high speed rail and flying is significantly cheaper than in the US, so Amtrak style travel is not something that would be acceptable in Europe.
@@JhonandAri this is great to know. I can promote you to some Facebook groups, but I couldn't find that background bio info. It can be a bigger part of your brand and distinguishes you from others doing the same type of vlogging content because I can't think of any other same sex couples. Fantastic about the move to Madrid, will be a better base for lots of other content.

That sounds rough! Hopefully we don't make the same mistake again. While our roommate was nice it was not the most comfortable situation.
Great video, beautiful scenery. Glad that your vlog showed up. ❤❤ Have a very safe rest of your trip. Jhon, Ari take care be safe. 😊
Thank you! 🤗

Excellent video. Shame you didn’t have the room to yourselves. Looking forward to seeing more!
Thank you 😊 Yeah we would have loved the entire cabin to ourselves! We'll have to be more careful during the booking process next time.
What happened to Timbuktu, I pretty sure that the 'Sleepy Tower 🗼 Of Timbuktu' in the background. 😮🤔🤪
12:25 What it should be! 😂😂😂
If it was supposed to be hard then mission accomplished! 😋
I’ve watched a few videos but want to know. Where do you live? Where are you from? Are you a couple?
😊 We recently moved to Madrid. I'm from the Dominican Republic and Jhon is Venezuelan. We are married, yes 🙂
