exactly. it's been downhill since they first brought in cold war weapons. not saying there aren't some fun off-meta ones, but overall it was simply a money play. introduce broken weapons, let people like jackfrags (no hate, but he has a creator code) advertise them, make $$ on blueprints.

Honestly, the AUG is much more broken. As Aculite said, it's the inability to react is what's frustrating.
@@osmosisNN you will lose 10 out of 10 times against someone with good tracking Sykovs vs whatever smg, assault rifle or auto shotty you have in CQB. Rate of fire of those two guns and the shit tickrate in this game makes it feel like a snap of a finger death. Sykovs = 230ms ish ttk vs aug/m16 290ms ttk

I'm a bit glad he feels remorseful over using it. Aculite's gameplay is great but honestly watching the meta weapons instantly wipe people in under a second gets pretty old fast. I hope the balance team does something about it.
I mean he has made a bunch of videos avoiding the meta, but eventually you likely tire of gimping yourself on purpose because their balance team is so lazy
You could tell he’s frustrated with the current meta. Normally he’s way more neutral when he talks about gameplay mechanisms.

The sykovs w/ aug remind me of snakeshot/grau meta from back in the day. An insanely accurate long range killing machine coupled with a disgusting ttk close range secondary. Ghost w/ first loadout, no need for overkill. Saves you extra cash for uavs and self rez as well. It just makes it broken on multiple levels really, it isn't just the ttk. It's the coverage and the efficiency of it all.

How many of you guys have noticed that, since playing with Tomographic and JackFrags and the rest of the UK crew, Aculite's inflection has changed in the way he asks a question?
Like in North America, we normally have an upward inflection at the end of the sentence, where as in the UK the inflection is higher at the the start and goes low by the end.
I picked up the same thing hanging with the British.
