Jisoo is the eldest and is one of the singers/vocalists of the group and she acts as the lead vocalist. Lisa is from Thailand ;Rose' is born in new zealand but brought up in australia; Jennie is born in South korea but studied in new zealand all by herself at age of 10 before she moved back to being a trainee at YG; Jisoo is the only one born and brought up in Korea.
The first time I got to know about them was in January this year and I loved them instantly. I listened to all their songs and watched all their music videos over and over again to the extent that my parents and younger siblings even sing along to their songs. Ngl, I was shocked the first time I heard my mom singing along to their songs coz I've been playing their songs all the time lol. 💜💜. I loved ur reaction, welcome to the family #blink 😘😇💜💜❤❤.

Several years ago, I was sick with the flu and surfing RUclips, when I stumbed onto Blackpink's "Boombayah." I haven't been the same since. I'm learning Korean, Spotify just told me that I listen to nothing but Kpop, and my friends think I'm really weird. Wouldn't change a thing.

Welcome to the world of Kpop! We’re happy to have y’all! So a little introduction, Blackpink consists of 4 members(kinda obvious); Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Jisoo is the eldest and is one of the singers/vocalists of the group and she acts as the lead vocalist. Jennie is one of the rappers in the group and kinda acts as the main rapper, but she sings at some parts. So Jennie can be classified as a vocalist and rapper. Rosé is one of the vocalists, she’s the main singer, the one where you said, “ This one does the elegant stuff “. Then, Lisa is also one of the rappers in Blackpink(BP for short). She kinda is a main rapper, but can also be a lead rapper. All 4 of them know english, Lisa probably knows the most but, sometimes makes mistakes. Rosé knows a lot of english as well, and kinda has an Australian accent when she speaks, because she lived in Australia for awhile. Jennie also is good with english, Jisoo can’t fluently speak it but, she knows it. Jennie spent time in New Zealand for awhile before coming back to South Korea. Jisoo has pretty much been raised in South Korea while Lisa is from Thailand and went to South Korea. Blackpink is under one of the top 3 companies known as YG Entertainment. Now, some info about the group name, ‘ Blackpink ‘. The ‘ Black ‘ part represents kinda their badass, “ I’m not afraid to square up “, side and some songs that are more black than pink are Kill This Love and Ddu Du Ddu Du( if you don’t count the poppy parts of the song ). The ‘ Pink ‘ part represents their poppy, more cutesy side and some songs that are more pink than black are As If It’s Your Last( y’all should really react to it ), and Boombayah( Boombayah is kinda badass but it has SOME poppy and cutesy parts to it ). The BP fandom is known as, ‘ Blink ‘. So now, I guess y’all are Blinks! Hope y’all have fun exploring Kpop!

I had no interest in Kpop, then I saw these ladies and their videos, I am now one of their many fans. The videos and music are the next step up. What's neat is how they go from Korean to English seamlessly. They also performed at the Coachella Music Festival.
