Planning to take psychology when I reach college. I don't know why but I really love learning about mental disorders and more on about people, since I always try to observe human behavior then I conclude and some of my calculations would come out right. Though I'm not really good at science but I'm INTO IT. This hyped me up and inspired me to do better than how I am doing right now. Thanks Ate Abi! @@nicewan8709 HUMSS student ako back then and bs psychology course ko ngayon. For me mas fit HUMSS sa BS Psychology na course since may psych subjects kami nung shs. If may psych sub kayo ngayong shs sa humss mas fit talaga humss sa psych.
May vid akong napanood na nagbibigay ng bridging program yung mga uni kapag ibang strand nakuha mo. Nacurious ako kase STEM din nakuha ko kahit BA Psych gusto ko.

Naalala ko tuloy sa EAPP subject namin pinagawa kami ng position paper, at binigay saken na topic is "dreams are repressed wishes" at dun ko nakilala si Sigmund Freud. Hindi ko pa alam nung time na yon na yung course na mapipili ko is Psychology as my pre med course and thia video helped me a lot kase kahit STEM student ako right now wala paren ako masyadong idea sa papasukin ko sa course na to THANK U SO MUCH😭😭

Hi! Just would like to share my experience. I'm a BA Psychology major. Actually, mayroon kaming sciences. Perhaps, depende sa university or college na papasukan mo. In BS Psych, yes, maraming sciences. Like, naka set mostly yung subjects mo sa sciences.
In BA (Bachelor of Arts) Psych naman, you actually have the freedom to take hard sciences or social sciences. Therefore, if you chose BA Psych, hindi lang limited yung future profession mo sa human resources. You can still work in hospitals or use your degree as a pre-med course. :)
Nag BA Psych ako kasi I love to work more on research. Gusto ko mag masters in I/O Psychology before so I planned to take more social sciences na subjects. Pero since I changed my mind, haha, and gusto ko na mag Clinical Psych, I am going to take more sciences na or at least subjects na makakatulong sa gusto kong profession na ito.
Some of my BS Psych friends wanted to shift to BA kasi mas may freedom nga.

@@jaro7692 hi! Sorry now ko lang nabasa. May math both BA and BS sa Psych. Statistics siya. Hindi naman siya ganoon kahirap. Math siya in a fun way kasi makikita mo talaga applications niya. Unlike diba sa mga nakasanayan natin sa high school, yung iba, pure logic talaga. But for stats, kitang kita yung application in real life such as in research.

Ganito. Statistics kasi, part yan ng major. Like, Statistics in Psychology ang pwede itawag. Tapos, like saamin, required kaming magtake ng chemistry and biology. And as we both know, parehong may math yon. Mas heavy nga lang sa chem and mas simple naman sa biology.

I figured out if I were to take psych, i have to finish my master's as well so i would have a stronger competitive edge in the job market. I'm going to be real here that bachelor's degree ain't gonna actually carry u because u have a low income from what I heard and you're gonna have a time with it.

Not being rude ✌🏼. I-clarify ko lang yung statement nyo. AB Psych, has “SCIENCE” subjects, remember Psychology itself is Science. You should’ve said AB Psych has no additional “Natural Science” subjects. Additional info pa po, many Medical schools accepts applicants na hindi nakatapos ng science related program, a bachelor’s degree alone is enough as one of the requirements to be admitted sa med school. 😊

Ang pag kakaintindi ko if gusto mong mag work in counseling, go for AB Psych, or you want to do a job related to social work. Kaya lang dito sa Pinas, di ko alam if meron bang work na focus on behavior, like yung mental health counselor na focus in certain areas like alcoholism, abuse, etc. If you're interested in med, go for BS

Actually yes I think shs strands are just for you to explore what you want and where you want to be in college. As for my experience I am an ABM student because I was undecided during my jhs days and now I will take a course under medical field which is not really aligned in my strand. So it is really up to you.

It depends po sa school. For instance, the state univ that I'm trying to apply into only accepts a HUMMS/STEM graduates.

I just want to put it out here na di ko gamay ang k-12 system, but i really think there's no such thing as a strand exclusive for "intelligent" people kaya if you really want stem and if you think it will give you the guidance you need when you take psych, then go for it! 😊 But I heard din na humss is the track for psych since social science ang psych. But your pick. Wherever you think you'll fit and do best. Goodluck!
Hello, graduate po ako HUMSS at sobrang regret ko dahil nagpatakot ako sa mga taong nagsasabing mahirap at pang matalino daw ang stem.. Kung maibabalik ko lang mag STEM ako makakatulong sayo yun sa sciences and maths kasi sa humss sa grade 12 wala na kaming math as in legit wala and tbh, 'nabobo' ako sa math kasi di na ako na eexercise ss maths so i prefer taking stem over humss pero kung want mo mag humss matutulungan ka madagdagan knowledge mo sa theories and social sciences kasi main focus ng humss yub :)

Stem = more maths and sciences na makakatulong sayo

@@aubreymheicarlos7818 Yung mga examples po na applicable according doon sa given definition. Pwede pong personal experience or yung naoobserved natin sa paligid. For example po, displacement- type of defense mechanism that redirects the expression of our negative feeling to a weaker or less-threatening objects. Pwede ko pong irelate dito yung mga panganay na kapag napagalitan ng magulang ay magagalit (negative feeling) sa nakakabata nilang kapatid (weaker/ less-threathing). I hope po nakatulong.
