    Great video brother! It's funny you mentioned about dudes stealing gloves. I had my Cleto Reyes gloves stolen from Johnny Flores's (RIP) gym in Lincoln Heights back in the mid 1980's. Beware the thieves and haters. They're everywhere!

    I recently got to talk with the owner of ring to cage and I asked him about the bubbling as I have a pair of c17s myself. He said that it’s due to the leather not degradation of the padding. He understands it can look quite scary as in most other pairs of gloves it means the padding is starting to breakdown. But in the c17s it’s apparently just due to some air getting trapped in the leather. Can confirm my padding is still like new even though there’s bubbles.

    I went to a boxing club one time and it said on a sign we're not responsible for stolen gloves it happens a lot here and if you catch the guy doing it you have to settle it with him yourself in the ring or in the parking lot none of our business I should have put quotation marks but needless to say I didn't go there anymore cuz I caught a guy stealing my gloves and he said they were his gloves so I had to beat his ass in front of everybody and take my gloves so buyer beware when you get awesome gloves other people want them for free

    Hey actually I had a question for your boxing
    I see you do the step-off hook. I was hoping to hear your take on this technique and situations it is suitable for, versus the Lstep + left cross. They seem to result in the same angle on your opponent, but I'm lacking clarity on when to use each

    • @ThatBoxingGuy
      @ThatBoxingGuy  2 года назад +1

      I do both, just depends on the situation. I like the step off hook when I’m applying pressure, or if I have someone on the ropes. I do the L-step hook if they’re trying to pressure me to keep some distance so that I don’t smother my punches. Hope this helps👊🏽
