This is why I have so much respect for orchestral musicians. The dedication and hours upon hours of practice and rehearsals 😭

I am in high school, and I just had pep band camp last week. I play flute. After 3 hours, I was dying and crying inside. It wasa lot of fun and I learned a lot, but I was so done. The camp was 3 hours long, last Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I feel like people think flute is a lot easier than it is. It's not that easy. So many high notes!!

I always say that after playing the oboe (even for one hour) it feels like your brain has turned into jelly 😅

Yesterday I had to stay after school for band practice and it was 7 hours long due to the fact that we had a performance later that night 😭
Me and my fellow clarinets were on the verge of death, our mouths were red 😭

I never went any further than high school but I remember one of our directors screaming at us during an 8 hour rehearsal day of concert because we weren't playing a song that was in the concert properly, but we had only touched the piece once before and did not know that the piece was going to be used.
