Nice review. Seems like a decent vehicle. That sun roof 👌🏽 it’s funny how us guys like a middle console to rest our arms. I feel off balanced when I don’t

I recently bought a used 2021 Jeep Latitude Lux and learning something new everyday on it. The one thing that really has me scratching my head over it is the fact that there isn’t the back hatch release button on mine that is shown at 13:00 in this review and that is said to exist in the owner’s manual. I don’t have the hands-free feature, so no icon on key fob either. The only way I have to open the hatch is to manually open it from the back. Nothing I’ve read or seen states that the button shown in this video is not standard. Could I please have any thoughts on this, or if anyone knows where my button might be hiding, please let me know. Thank you.

Oh I do agree about the revised front end! I didn’t like the previous setup where the headlights were divorced from the rest of the lights. This is an improvement in my opinion as well. And I agree this color looks good on the keep. I don’t hate this vehicle but I wouldn’t choose this. I agree about the bent looking bright work that swoops near the side view mirror along the door.

Hey Nolan. Test drove the 3.2 V6 back to back with the 2.0 turbo. Ordered a 2021 Cherokee Limited High Altitude with the turbo. The V6 is smooth and offers a nice sound but the kick in the back the additional 56 ft-lbs of torque the turbo offers cinched the deal. The lower sidewalls of the 19" wheel/tire combo wakes up the handling with much sharper responses than my '18 Grand Cherokee. The Cherokee is a hefty little guy, but I think that contributes to the solid feel it has. Changes... An additional 1" drop to the drivers seat height (feel like I sit too high at lowest adjustment) and a slightly taller roofline to ease entry. I agree, the lower window trim swoop shape is somehow off putting.

I love the exhaust sounds from this V6 both this and the discontinued Chrysler 200 sounds amazing, they both have a different exhaust system than the other FCA products with this motor but I'd almost sounds Maserati like when you rev it out.

Wow 4-way lumbar surprises me! I could use that.. I only have 2 way on my seats! Awesome that Jeep gives you those functions on both driver & passenger seat! I like that. Keep us trying. I’ll give them credit this is better than I expected. So that’s great!

I ordered a ‘21 Latitude Lux with the 2.0L Turbo and the amount of torque is crazy! It’s actually fun to drive. I also have gotten up to 35 mpg on the interstate, no complaints there! Mine has the Sangria metallic and the ski grey leather. I will say that I’m impressed with the basic 4x4 system (Active Drive I) I’ve went off the beaten path often even to properties where “4x4 required” is a 4x4 pickup in their mind. If properly equipped the V6 Cherokee can tow 4,500 lbs and the 2.0L Turbo can tow 4,000 lbs, but it you don’t get the heavy duty trans then it is only 2,000 lbs. Excellent review!

@@PrimeAutotainment just out of curiosity, how do you decide what cars to review? Are these provided to you?

    • @PrimeAutotainment

Usually they’re provided in a random schedule and I don’t always know what will be coming very long beforehand. There are a few dealerships I can go to and pick some but I don’t have any connections with Jeep dealers

    This is s little long…
I was in the market for a Tiguan but I wanted the top model (SEL-Plus w/light grey interior) and they’re just not any available. Any other trim level I considered, I was compromising something but still approaching or exceeding 40k otd. That’s just too much to pay and “settle” for something… I was also interested in the Hyundai Tuscan Hybrid Limited. Again, none to be found (in So California/L.A. area).
On top of that, every car I did look at (lower trim packages, not the color I wanted, not the interior I wanted etc) the dealers wanted 3-5k over MSRP. I’ve been following the trend but most of them don’t advertise it. It’s not till you call or go in they come clean.
I hadn’t thought of Jeep at all. I was set on something else. Then today I saw a Latitude Lux, black with the light leather interior (I really did not want a black interior) at a dealer a few miles from me, did a test drive and bought . It was 3k under MSRP. Nothing hidden, no BS. No trying to up-sell me on this and that.
I have a really good gut feeling, am happy and that’s what you want to leave with when you spend hard earned money. I got it for 30k. Again, 10-15k less than what I planned on spending. I’ll drive it happily for a couple years and then see what the market is like.
This is the first review I have seen, after buying the car… something I would normally never do 😅. It just felt right,

    • @jeffmorse645
      @jeffmorse645 Год назад

Its so hard to find the light gray interior. The vast majority of Cherokees are black leather it seems.

Never can up shift to the top gear 9th. Unless driving on free way with a speed over 77 MPH and force the gear manually to shift to 9ths then you can switch back to auto mood. However, the gear will shift down shortly at the first one foot of elevation or once you barely press down the gas pedal. No matter how fast the speed is accelerating with the 9th gear is almost impossible. If you were on auto mood, the transmission will instantly shift down; whereas if you were on manual mode even hardly depressing the gas pedal with full open throttle the engine will never be able to make it. That’s on 2021 Fully loaded options Limited 4X4. 2019 with the same trim used to be much more responsive. I have another one 2019 with four cylinders 2.4 multi-air direct injection and 9 speed transmission it has never been able to go even on the 8th gear. It can be justified if compared with the 3.2L that produces 119 more horsepower. Other mini competitive SUV like Toyota RAV-4, Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5 have almost 92 less horsepowers but they are still responsive and consume much less fuel. 271 horsepower with 239 lbs/n of torques are not humble numbers, however useless unless you need to do towing.

It's okay. My parents just got a Cherokee Latitude Lux... IMO the V6 is the only thing that shines with it. Other than that, I'd rather get the Kia Sorrento with the 2.5 turbo.
Still cheap feeling buttons, especially the wiper and turn signal stock...
